Who is "they"?

This reads like a muck-raking post to me.

"The debut mission of SpaceX’s CrewDragon faced similar delays in orbit"

Have yet to see anything that says they're stranded, only sensationalist manipulated bullshit.

    Donjuanme ,

Well that's an immediate subscribe from me.

    Donjuanme ,

Well that was quite the rabbit hole. 2 new subscriptions out of it.

    Donjuanme ,

I'm now considering "terminally ill leftist" as something not to be recovered from, not something that will cause your termination.

I am not terminal, nor ill in my political outlook and desire to see all of my fellow countrymen, And all people on earth, survive and thrive.

    Donjuanme ,

My old town had stop lights that were timed nearly perfectly if you went the speed limit. Only exception was when they were resetting from an emergency vehicle passing (or pedestrian).

I would wave my hand and mutter some Jedi stuff at it and it would change. People still gunned it from one light to get stopped at the next...

    Donjuanme ,

    I would hold 5 owls.

    Donjuanme ,

There was a really fun show I found.... Let me get the name.... "Joe and Katherine bargain holidays", where they"vacation" on a "budget", in the first (or second?) episode the go to an owl sanctuary, where they learn it's 3$ (pounds) to hold an owl, Joe is flabbergasted by this and announces that he's going to spend more money holding owls than on anything else in this episode, I think they started with 10 owls for 30 pounds, then asked to round it up to a dozen, then a bakers dozen. It actually looked like something I'd gladly spend money to do, and I would imagine it's a pretty good cause.

The series is posted to YouTube, and if you haven't seen "task master" I cannot recommend it highly enough. Joe and Katherine are on season 2. Save season 7 until you've seen enough of it to be comfortable with what's going on, because it's an amazing season (as they all are) but the cast is the least restrained in their antics.

    Donjuanme ,

Root beer, there are so many different flavors and variety. A lot of artisanal stuff out there as well!

Cream soda is the second choice

    Donjuanme ,

Effing plastic fasteners, and dry wall..

    Donjuanme ,

Hell of a lot better than what my country did.

    Donjuanme ,

I do about 80% of the time, and I try to be genuine in my approximations, and I will adjust them as more information comes in.

And if I promise you over 100%, it's something that I'm really excited about and that if you bail there's x% chance I'm going to not let you out of it, or find someone to fill in your roll.

    Donjuanme ,

Apologize with your wallet you evil prigs.

    Donjuanme ,

I would hope you do that around all professions of male, and female, and you should probably keep respirating while you're by yourself as well...

    Donjuanme ,

I'm fine admitting the government that invaded Afghanistan was fucked and should be charged with war crimes. Same with Russia and Israel right now, same with desert storm.

Strange how all those governments had the same ideological bend to them... But both sides are the same....

    Donjuanme ,

When the light changes from green to yellow most of my community somehow fail to notice the change in color or from what lights it's being emitted, it's baffling to me. If the intersection isn't passable you don't enter when the light is yellow, sorry to delay your trip 1 whole minute, but the gridlock you cause delays everyone's trip, and causes more assholes like yourself to block the intersection at a yellow light, and cause more gridlock.

Not blocking intersections when at a stop on a street.

    Donjuanme ,

The lab equipment in television "science labs", no your fid detector didn't get the mass spectrum of that "unknown sample", past the question of how much information you'd hope to get from that test, why are you using a gc on organic samples? you want to be using an LC you maroon.

I can't watch murder porn for many reasons, this is the least of them, but I like to poke holes in my in-laws immersion when they watch it and I'm around.

    Donjuanme ,

They sure are confident about an extra-solar event occurring on our time scales.

    Donjuanme ,

    That's beautiful

    Donjuanme ,

Iirc There's a picture of a bunch of the clowns lined up behind him in the New York Court room

    Donjuanme ,

Whatever flash in the pan has "games" pissed off today.

They're easily outraged by any perceived slight, easily demonized/lionized by the media, often incredibly misguided, entirely without consideration for the bigger picture, and usually have 0 long-term impact follow-through or apology when whatever they were upset about gets rectified.

One of the reasons billionaires can "clog up the system" is because Judges are actually really overworked.

In Trump's Florida case there were only 5 judges who could potentially handle the case, 2 of them were retired and temporarily filing in to keep the system moving, and 3 of them were already booked out for the rest of the year, Eileen Cannon was a 50-50 draw for Trump in that district.

Many cases plea out because it would take so long to go through the system, that between the waiting for the start of the trial and not getting time served it's less time to just take a plea.

We have single player at home already.

    Thanks for the catch XD

    Donjuanme ,

Happy belated birthday to this article!

    Donjuanme ,

I'm so damn happy to support the people trying to keep those explosives out of the ground, where they'd lay for dozens of years waiting to maim future generations.

I couldn't think of a better use for them than to blow up the people bringing them in.

Fuck the front line of Russia and anyone who supports it.

    Donjuanme ,

Gotta be pink Floyd wish you were here....

But there are so many good ones.

    Donjuanme ,

You don't need to hit the sun dead center to incinerate something in the sun, just get it within the orbit of mercury and it'll take care of itself.

Also what's wrong with firing it into an orbit that'll decay into the sun? You don't need to 1 shot these things.

    Donjuanme ,

What's wrong with an orbit that'll decay into the sun? That'll take even less energy.

Lemmy is as bad as Reddit for these stupid pop-sci talking points.

    Donjuanme ,

Their fur is very dense, otter fur has more hairs per square inch than any other mammal, a million per square inch, like a hundred times what humans have. The oils excreted into their fur creates a hydrophobic layer that keeps the water on the outside. It's in nowhere near shark skin (which exhibits incredibe hydrodynamics, like we're studying it in labs to better improve aerodynamics of cars and planes, a single bite of food is enough to get a great white shark from California to Japan their skin is so efficient at moving through water), but it's very good at keeping the water out and their movement efficient, their hair does not cause Resistance like human hair does. Our hair hangs out and gets water in it and creates drag, otter hair seals itself around the meat and creates a cylinder, keeping happy warm dry otter inside.

I got the treat of touching/petting a wild otter while it was sedated, it's on of my top 10 experiences. It was not a happy camper when it woke up. It had to be in an ice bath while sedated otherwise it's hair/fur coat would've caused it to overheat while being knocked out because it is incapable of homeostatic regulation while sedated. When it woke up it was a wild otter in an ice bath, lil (haha, huge actually) dude was pissed.

    Donjuanme ,

I've never felt one under water, nor did I try to go skin deep when I had my opportunity, but I would guess they're pretty dry under there, I couldn't say for sure though.

    Donjuanme ,

Plenty of spots on the 80 I cruise the speed limit in the 2nd slowest lane without any troubles. Just because a few people need to fly doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

    Donjuanme ,

That's only 15,000 times further away than we've ever sent an object with mass. Also it's in a specific direction, which is not what we did with our furthest away object.

    Donjuanme ,

Someone decided your belief was worthy of a show of non support, I've set it back to neutral and would like to call the person out. This is an entirely too possible rational take.

Once the ocean currents stop flowing, or the acidification and heat raises the CaCO3 level into the phytoplankton zone, we gonna be real dead, especially if we continue to burn for energy.

    Donjuanme ,

Good news, it's never going to happen. Bad news it's because the level level rise would make those building locations completely nonviable.

    Donjuanme ,

Funny all the protesters I ever seem to drive by are clearly right wing...

    Donjuanme ,

Glass fire in central California, I saw it the very first morning on my way to work (a Sunday), had no idea it was going to become as big as it did.

    Donjuanme ,

I was just talking about this yesterday.

My wife has a top of the line "remarkable" with upgraded storage space, she's grandfathered into that option, which is no longer available. it's now entirely monthly subscriptions, she wouldn't have had the opportunity if she weren't an early adopter.

We used to swear by "never buy iteration 1 of a generation" but today it seems that if a product is going to be successful, it's going to get degraded in iteration 2.

Textbook enshittification. Now you have to take a chance on something being good and the company sticking around, and buy in before it gets on the radar of investors.

    Donjuanme ,

Or you just let it be elliptical for a while and that shit will burn up before very long.

You don't need to hit the center of the sun to be incinerated by it.

    Donjuanme ,

I'm not for any religious discrimination.

They should all be worshipped privately and have no governmental supporting.

    Donjuanme ,

Not trolling, genuinely couldn't stand that movie, I feel it's impossible to bring people around to the idea that it was a shit movie, and I don't need people to feel the same way about it as me to validate my feelings, but I do support the message that it was trying to send (people will remain willfully ignorant) but it didn't send that message in a way that made sense (from a pretty typical progressive). I barely made it through the first viewing, and I'm not giving it another chance.

But sure, I'm a troll, and a bad one at that.

For other things I troll about be sure to check out my review of "rampage", oh wait, that was heartfelt and the person who took my recommendation ended up loving it (inexplicably, I cannot explain why it's so damn... Rampage), and maybe reconsider that while my taste is different, it's conveyed with honestly and sincerity. Don't look up wasn't funny, it wasn't productive, and it wasn't realistic portrayals of people in the slightest, and that combination entirely turned me off from the movie

But you can dismiss me as a bad troll and trot along with the rest of the sheep.

    Donjuanme ,

Interesting, I've not had similar problems using my cast iron on induction, maybe there wasn't enough current in your system, was it a counter top model or a built in?

    Edit:
And by "the thing" you meant your pans right?
