In a landmark 3-2 decision, the United Kingdom’s Supreme Court ruled that the downstream emissions of fossil fuel extraction projects must be considered in the approvals process. This is, in short, a big deal.

The idea was basically that having the name Kennedy and touting his environmental work (from before when a worm ate part of his brain) would suddenly induce a bunch of Democrats to vote for him. So he got to dine with billionaires and they tossed him money.

That Saudi. The plan there seems to be to sell off all the oil, and then have the royal family decamp to a more northern latitude with their harems while the rest of the population cooks to death.

There article is about a paper showing that there's a significant increase in aluminum oxide in the atmosphere. The particulates from that are part of how the small amounts of chlorine in the atmosphere are able to destroy ozone.
