@jerry fwiw I found it easy to migrate passwords from 1Password when my work initiated a password manager mandate with LastPass as their chosen vendor. It took like 5 minutes to copy over the logins and stuff I needed out of there.

1Password rules though I think you should keep it.

The Supreme Court is slow walking Trump's classified documents case, which has delayed his Jan 6 trial.

The federal judiciary is effectively acting like a MAGA campaign arm.

@rbreich We need court reform!! I want Biden to use his mandate once re-elected to do something about this disastrous super majority Supreme Court. The way Alioto, Kavanaugh, Gorsuch and the others jump in to try and help the lawyers doing Trump's bidding... the corruption is so obvious. It's disgusting.

Every now and then I hear conversations from outside of here about "the state of social media" and let me tell you: People are suffering. People are miserable. Many people feel addicted to social media but unable to have positive and valuable interactions in the space. Mostly, in the profit-driven social media space negative emotional reactions glue eyeballs as well as positive, so a heap of the experiences is just ... unpleasant.

Meanwhile around here things are different.

@sidereal Gosh I had never thought about it this way but I think you're right! I also avoid commercials or ads as much as possible, and I don't know if I'm happier than anyone else but I'm definitely more at peace than I am if I have to allow ads into my head! Would love to hear more about how ADHD makes you more ad-sensitive, so i can pass it on to my kids who both struggle with it. I'm either ADHD or autistic (or both) but no diagnosis yet. cc @futurebird

@GottaLaff To be fair, the officers across this nation throwing people in jail are not all fascists. Just look at Rikers in NY. It Is a jail, not a prison. No one held there has had a trial. Yet some have been held there for years, not even accused of a crime. So what @enoch_exe_inc is saying is not outlandish. That being said -- there are plenty of legit reasons to throw DJT in jail!!! So it's nonsensical to suggest we should do it without a reason!

Tomorrow is Election Day in California and in SF the turnout is not expected to be very big... which is always so depressing. I'll be pressing my kids to make sure they get to the polls. CCSF has the day off which is nice.

I posted to FB for the first time in what feels like years when I saw th clip of Biden on a late show where he had mentiond "ceasefire" for what I think is the first time? I am not here to tell you I'm not voting for him, pls understand. I'm here to tell of the betrayal I felt when he added, excitedly! that they were going to b able to get 100s of 1000s of refugees out. I literally shouted "No!" at his image in my phone. I really would love to see some in depth interviews with the substantial group of CO Republicans who like Trump but hate Boebert.

I just assume it's some kind of sexism. They are so similar. But, I'm curious if they are aware of it "a woman just shouldn't be that way" or if it's just ... a unexamined gut feeling.

In other news, Ted Cruz is parroting Trump saying that Obama is somehow pulling the strings. This is a conspiracy theory based on a flubbed line and it's developing ... lore. WHY

@futurebird my take, it's definitely a gender thing -- Boebert was useful/amusing until she wasn't. The date at the theater was her undoing; they can't stand by a woman who is seen (outed) as that kind of "unseemly" unless it was in service to something covert or otherwise substantial, and even then she's forever on watch as the one that might go outside the thin line between ego-neutral and ego-damage.

@thetechtutor Let me start by pointing out we have a lot in common, eg I'm also a surfer. I hope you will re-consider the truth of the following.

Israel's right to exist, Palestine's right to exist are not mutually exclusive. Zionists started this mess in the early 20th century but modern Israel does not have to be Zionist to exist. Arab groups have fault as well but that cannot excuse the complete destruction and mass slaughter the world has had to witness.
