@futurebird my take, it's definitely a gender thing -- Boebert was useful/amusing until she wasn't. The date at the theater was her undoing; they can't stand by a woman who is seen (outed) as that kind of "unseemly" unless it was in service to something covert or otherwise substantial, and even then she's forever on watch as the one that might go outside the thin line between ego-neutral and ego-damage.
