@GottaLaff Sunak has said he will fight on the keep the party in opposition, some seat projections are showing they could slip behind the Lib Dems. Extinction or not, there are tumultuous times ahead for his party, finishing third on seats would be seismic. They will be scraping the barrel for next leader after this too, whatever happens they will come out of this election much, much weaker than in 1997 when Labour last ousted them.

There is no dilemma in the coming election:
The outcome will be either Biden or Trump.
The US election system literally does not offer an option to effectively not vote, or vote for a 3rd party candidate.
So you (BTW, are you an US citizen at all?) vote for Trump (by voting for him, or in many places where it matters you have the option of voting for him by not voting at all too), or for Biden.
Arriving at a rural property, an #Arizona#sheriff’s deputy approaches a group of starving dogs behind a fence. Some are sleeping, others bark & wag their tails. The deputy lays out food & water to corral them, body-cam video shows.
The deputy then pulls out a gun & shoots them 1 by 1, killing 7, before dragging their bloodied bodies to his truck. He later dumped the bodies near RR tracks.

@GottaLaff Surely one of the most disheartening aspects of watching American political contests is the prominent coverage always given to how much money has been raised by each side.
The unchallenged acceptance that voters are persuaded simply by whoever spends the most money campaigning, the side that yells the loudest on TV, shows how hollow the democratic ideal, the 'battle of ideas', has become. An election or an auction?
How can Fediverse be more "private" while also not ruining the experience for those who like things the way they are?

I can't think of any, but I'm obviously not the sharpest tool in the shed.
Obviously Mastodon needs to start by removing the RSS feed or make it an option to turn off. As it stands, most people don't even know it's a thing because it's not documented.
