It wants the world to respect #Ukraine's territorial integrity, yet it sends billions of dollars to Taiwan, a territory that is part of #China according to international law.

It wants the world to stand up against #Russia, yet it aids and abets genocidal wars.

Moving to #Mastodon is like a lifestyle change. You first get accustomed to the #fediverse and decentralized/federated #socialmedia protocols (#ActivityPub, etc), and then you get into #opensource and #FOSS stuff, and then you slowly get into #Linux, and then you slowly develop an interest in #programming / #coding and building your own portable or mini computer. Before you know it, you'll start a local leftist revolution. 😅

Honestly, I had no idea DuckDuckGo had its own web browser lol. This article reminded me to try out DuckDuckGo's search engine again, and compare its search results with those of Google Search. I was actually surprised to find out that DuckDuckGo churned out way better search results. I'm definitely gonna use it instead of Google from now on.

I've got a question for the #Mastodon / #ActivityPub / #Fediverse community.

I hate #medicine. I dunno why I even became a doctor. Must've been due to parental pressure. I love #astronomy & also have an interest in astronomy software/apps (& software in general). Problem is I dunno how to #code.

Is pursuing a degree in #compsci worth it in the age of LLMs? Or should I just get an astro degree & depend on "AI" to write codes for me?

I don't know why people on twitter/X used to complain that #Mastodon is confusing. I've been here for nearly a whole day and it feels easy and very immersive. I can even communicate with users from other websites provided these websites use #ActivityPub. And unlike twitter/X, I don't need to worry about getting stalked and harassed by regime-paid Saudis, Turks and Azerbaijanis who hate my critical views about their dictatorial countries. Can't believe I was missing this experience before.

So I'm new to #Mastodon and the #Fediverse. My #Twitter account was basically suspended back in September 2023 because I dared to defend the Armenians against Azerbaijani state-sponsored ethno-fascism and aggression. (For context, authoritarian Azerbaijan waged a war of ethnic cleansing against the ethnic Armenian community of Artsakh, a disputed territory in the South Caucasus region.) So much for #ElonMusk's "free speech" nonsense. Twitter is overrun by trolls affiliated to various regimes.
