Palestinians have every right to resist being genocided by one of the most evil regimes in history. There could have been socialist or more progressive freedom fighters but they were all destroyed by Israel. Israel wanted the resistance to be Islamist because if there’s going to be a resistance to outright genocide they’re easier to paint as the enemy.

Israel has no right to exist. It’s a white supremaicst ethnostate existing on stolen land. “Israelis” need to abolish the state and go back to their own countries.

If I was American I wouldn’t spend a second campaigning for Biden or telling people “you need to vote!!” online, because I’d rather spend that time unionising my workplace, doing mutual aid, building up communities. Things that build real structural change no matter who’s in power. But on the day I’d still go vote for the lesser evil candidate. It takes a small amount of time. Then I’d go straight back to real work. I think most leftists do the same.

The people who are on the streets organising and protesting for Palestine are the same people who are doing all kinds of organising: unionising workplaces, mutual aid, street medics, etc. to build up communities and create actual positive change in society.

Besides, most of these people, despite being highly critical of Biden and will show up to vote on the day. They’re just not going to spend the rest of their time campaigning for a lost cause.

Right now under the capitalist systems there are countless jobs that are detrimental to the world we live in, or don’t actually produce anything of tangible value.

We would be a lot better off if a lot of people just didn’t do their “jobs”.

We don’t need a hundred types of sugar water, Or McDonald’s plastic toys. Landlords, bankers, stock brokers, financial planners, most lawyers are all useless.

Overpopulation is also a Malthusian myth. It isn’t that we have too many people. Under capitalism resources are not distributed well. It doesn’t make sense that most of us are working in a system that expects infinite growth with the finite resources our world is limited to. All in order to make a handful of people increasingly wealthy while the rest of us increasingly can’t afford to live a basic, simple life.

We can and must work toward building a new system (spoiler: it’s called Anarchism) while dismantling the old, inefficient, destructive system we are currently forced to try to survive in.

At bare minimum someone on the left would be completely opposed to capitalism. They might be a mutualist, communalist, anarcho-syndicalist, anarcho-communist, etc.

Democrats are Neo-liberals and support the status quo. Maybe not outright fascists like the Republicans, but they have more in common with Republicans than they do with anyone on the left and when push comes to shove they’re not going to oppose fascism, they’re just going to go along with it. “Scratch a liberal, a fascist bleeds.”
