My reason for moving: When Trump got in, I said to Mr. Laffy, "He'll now have the courts. We can't overcome a lot of that." This is what I was referring to:

: upholds 's congressional map, reversing a lower court decision that struck down the map for racial gerrymandering.

    @GottaLaff Best of luck to you and your family! The majority of my family is American but my brother and I were born in Toronto. So we've lived in both countries but definitely raised in Canada. My Dad is in Victoria, my Mom in Winnipeg, with me and my brother moved to Florida some time ago, but he occasionally thinks about returning to Canada due to politics - he has 3 kids so they keep him their for now.

    Ahead of #TrumpTrial court Monday morning, #Trump posted on Truth Social that “America Loving Protesters should be allowed to protest at the front steps of Courthouses.” He added that people should “GO OUT AND PEACEFULLY PROTEST.” It’s very quiet outside the court in Manhattan — mostly just reporters.

    Excellent idea to write the #USSupremeCourt Thanks for providing that link. I explained that the People of the United States need the decision much sooner than April 22. And that Article IV of the constitution states that "no one, not even the President or Congress, can be above the law."

    The more I learn about light pollution harms insects, the more I want to try to help... do something about it.

    But I live in NYC. It feels like an impossible ask. A whole city devoted to making the most light pollution possible.

    I strongly suspect that we'd see a greater variety of wildlife if we could dim the light a little.

    Just using colors like red light can help. So can dark hours and motion sensors.

    What if one day, as a treat, every New Yorker got to see the milky way?

    @futurebird We used to turn all the lights off on Earth Day to conserve energy to promote environmental thinking.
