My kid and I have a running head-canon that cats are actually higher-dimensional slug monstrosities that our human brains can't fully comprehend.

The "cats" we know and love are actually an anglerfish-like protrusion that pokes through into our lower-dimensional spacetime.

The saliva they coat themselves in contains a mild hallucinogen which produces a calming effect that helps mask their true natures, so they can lure humans closer to feed off the kinetic energy of headpats.

  1. Do you feel calmed and inclined to administer headpats when you witness a cat cleaning itself?

  2. Have you ever witnessed a cat staring off into other dimensions?

  3. Have you ever witnessed a cat defying known laws of causality?

  4. Have you ever been transported by your cat into an extra-dimensional space for reprogramming after saying "I'm more of a dog person"?

@homelessjun I have 3 dimensional protrusions living with me, and still have all my socks, so I think it's unlikely.

Though I have noticed that they amass my hair-ties under the fridge, so perhaps they're storing them for some future purpose.

@denvek I believe there are multiple. Immature entities are responsible for the weirder cats that behave erratically or survive crazy falls and such.

The mature ones have learned to conserve energy and blend in better.

Though I believe one entity may be responsible for up to a thousand cats or so if it's large enough.

I’m not sure I’m a bucket hat kinda gal but I really like this hat.

I bought it a little after I bought my recurve bow two years ago because I saw so many of the archer girls wearing one during the Olympics.

I haven’t made the time to go to the range in that time but I’m determined I’m gonna shoot my bow soon.

@WrenArcher I used to teach archery at a summer camp (like decades ago). I still have my old composite recurve packed away in the basement.

I don't work out as much anymore, so mine is a little too heavy for me at 64lbs.

@WrenArcher when I got that bow from my dad I was about 10-12 years old. I couldn't pull it until I was a teen (but I practiced every day until I could).

I also had a 30lb compound bow that I used until I was strong enough to draw my recurve.

Hi everyone! New person managing the social media account here – many of us were at the in Karlsruhe and, this time around, there were many that were interested (or even involved in!) alternative forges for themselves or their hackspaces and, well, Codeberg?!

I even talked to a person in a train that later turned out to be a Forgejo contributor (the person next to them was a Codeberg e.V. member). We all met up!

The author of this post in front of a wall with tape of various shapes and drawings made by various people. The room is being lit by UV lighting, and the tape shines under that said UV lighting. In the picture, I am pointing to a drawing (made, like everything else on this black wall, using that said tape), that looks like the Forgejo logo. Other "drawings" can be seen all over the place. The logo of the Godot Game Engine, "Lost Emo", a small bug, tic-tac-toe, hearts and cat drawings, as well as, well, a phallic drawing that I only noticed in retrospect.
