What flowers have the most petals? Buttercups, they have 12!
Most would say sunflowers, but each sunflower is a pseudanthium- many small flowers growing so it looks like one big flower! (I know this isn’t a sunflower OR a buttercup, but I just learned that & so I had to share!)

Digitalis purpurea, Foxglove.

Medically, it’s a source of digitalin, used to treat heart conditions. Due to the contained cardiac glycosides, all parts must be considered toxic.

“Digitalis” is from Latin “digitus,” meaning “finger,” for its shape.

Folklore has it that foxes wore the flowers as gloves. The name may also come from “folk’s glove,” referring to fairy folk. In various European folklore, it is associated with fairies.

Snowball bush flowers- viburnum opulus roseum was one of my 96 years young grandmother’s favorite flowers. She loved their soft sweet aroma. She is missed terribly. View the photograph here: https://1-nataile-thompson.pixels.com/featured/snowball-viburnum-opulus-roseum-nataile-thompson.html.

The squirrels completely ate the middle out of this Aeonium Arboreum last summer; all that remained was two rows of the large red-tipped leaves.

This is how it grew back. 😮

Our squirrel-assaulted Aeonium Arboreum is blooming for the first time ever, and it's AMAZING. 🙂

(This started out as a cutting my wife picked up off the concrete at her uncle's condo three years ago.)
