I've got an / puzzle, and I could use any suggestions anybody has to throw out there.
Back in 2022 in the middle of the pandemic a medical provider in NYC sent my uncle an iPad to attend a virtual appointment on.
I'm trying to figure out how to return it to them, or barring that, to factory reset it so that it can be returned to service as a useful device rather than a nearly brand-new iPad needing to be recycled.
This has proven to be... difficult.

The only thing I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned is to plug it into a computer and see whether it’ll show up or trigger something to open. Potentially it could interact with iTunes.

Eggplants and tomatoes outside since mid-April are still alive. The tomatoes need another level on the support. They’re hitting the rain cover. The eggplant looks a bit bigger in the last week as well. Hopefully they’ll weather the day or two of rain before the sun returns.

No picture of the poor cucumber plants. I think I forgot to plug the water reservoir when it was hot out. If that didn’t kill them, they got totally flattened by the rain.

Rectangular planter on wheels with a couple of tomato plants. A clear cover rests at the top of the two-level integrated trellis, keeping the rain from damaging the leaves. The uppermost leaves are spreading just below the cover.

They are Linex planters. It’s so much better than fighting with separate supports and the water reservoir can be drained by pulling a plug. Very modular and adjustable. I got mine from Amazon but they have a website.

Tom's been growing alpine strawberries (the tiny little intensely flavored "wild" strawberries that the French call fraise du bois) and usually he'll get a couple in a day, if he gets any at all, but today a dozen were all ripe at once. And that's getting to be enough for a dessert. And we have leftover maple fudge buttercream. So I'm gonna make a quick little sponge cake and layer it with maple fudge buttercream and top it with alpine strawberries.

after learning a bit about the 'red oak group,' i no longer feel bad about being flummoxed about the ID of my mystery oaks.

in addition to the Northern red oak and the scarlet oak, 'Black oak, live oak, willow oak (including water oak, laurel oak, shingle oak), and pin oak (qq.v.) are red oaks.'

Wikipedia says there are about 125 species in the group. oh and they are all known to hybridize freely. good luck

One of the things I love is when a noob starts watching Trek shows for the first time, and they're like, This is so silly, it's ridiculous, that guy turned into a lizard and impregnated his captain, that lady got possessed by a sex ghost that belonged to her grandma, the captain is sorting a room full of floofy guinea pigs, the ship runs on mushrooms, this theme song makes no sense, and I'm just like Yeah, isn't it great?! You either get it or you don't, I don't know what to tell you.

I almost stopped watching Voyager as soon as I started for one reason: Tom Paris. I eventually learned to tolerate him as a less appealing Eddie Haskell.

I’m trying to keep at it, but sometimes it’s just not gonna happen. Guessing the size in square km is kind of helping me with km though. Weights and temperatures I get from work, but metric distances and area are not intuitive yet.

I also do the US states one. The rectangle states still get me but I’m getting better.

Yep. Elsbeth was pretty great. A lot of the shows I enjoyed this season are done or almost done. I hope some new stuff comes out soon. I don’t want to have to resort to Big Brother or something.
