Hello, artist and crafter friends. 💚 Do I know anyone (or can anyone recommend someone) who makes very tiny rubber stamps? I am trying to make myself a personal almanac, and I am dreaming of a little vertical row of tiny nature icons I can stamp for each day to sort of "bullet" my recordings of climate, birds, insects, and plants/mushrooms. Queer, indigenous, disabled, and/or non-white artists strongly preferred. Thanks in advance for any recommendations or etc.! 🌞🐦‍⬛🐝🍃

Y'all, my brother and his boyfriend were staying at this Dairy B&B, and the barn cat had kittens. This one kitten kept wanting to be petted and held, and the owner said they could take it if they wanted it. I can barely handle this much cuteness!

My brother's bf with the kitten in his lap in the car. He is looking down at her absolutely delighted, and she is looking at him the same way.
This is the kitten sitting on my dining table next to a bowl of water. She's sitting up straight looking very prim and regal.

As a glasses wearer and cat owner you should ALWAYS put on your glasses when doing anything, even if it's getting up to pee at six in the morning.
This is how you lower your chances of walking into the sheer spray-coating of cat piss on your bathroom floor, also at six in the morning, for example. That you can't then properly see to even clean because your glasses are on the other side of the flat.

A couple of lovely people have asked why our OverLondon ebook isn't available in the stores.

Exactly 1 month ago I woke to receive an automated email from Amazon KDP that said they'd terminated our account and had confiscated all of our royalties.

The decision had been made by an AI bot. To say that it's been a difficult month would be an understatement. This came just after a close family member had passed away. Suddenly the project we'd put our whole life into for 4 years was dead in the water.

We immediately wrote an appeal email to Amazon and sought help from the Alliance of Independent Authors. (They're amazing, if you're Indie or thinking of it, be a member.) And then we reconfigured, schemed, planned and hustled on what to make of the mess that was now our publishing career.

And now exactly 1 month to the day after a bot terminated our account and upended our lives. We got another automated email to say that it's been reinstated. Just like that.

We can only assume that it was both our appeal email and help from the Alliance of Independent Authors that got this sorted. Either way, the profanity and relief in our house today is rather epic. As is the feeling of frustration (rage) that an AI system could so arbitrarily upend our lives. (1/2)

It’s me. Hi. I’m the problematic guy in a FaceTime call on his phone while shopping in the grocery store.

Just know that my mom is 86, disabled and in a nursing home, and she loves these occasions when she can “get out” with me while I’m doing chores, cleaning barn stalls or running errands. Compared to the usual couch-based call these brighten her up and fill her with all kinds of questions and comments about my life. The smiles per hour go way up!

Adorable young red squirrel that was cursing me out to my 9th generation of ancestors five minutes ago.

A squirrel is sitting on their haunches and nibbling benignly on a sunflower seed. They are nicely compact, with tail against their back and arms tucked in to hold the seed to their mouth. Their belly is cream white, and the red of your fur is shades of vivid orange brown. The roundness of their eyes and thinness of tail suggest that they are quite young.

    A small, very old, grass roof hut/building in Iceland. It's got a grass mound wall and a couple of trees inside of this. It's isolated in a rather flat green grass field. In the background some large mountains can be seen rising into the clouds (Some have snow). There is very little blue sky showing between the heavy white and grey clouds overhead.

    I understand the alternate reality about the last election. But I don't understand the alternate reality about COVID. That's the most wild thing about it.

    Is it that COVID isn't really a deadly infectious disease?
    Or was it made in a lab?
    Or is it deadly, but the vaccine isn't real?
    Or did the vaccine cause the disease?
    Or is the vaccine ... mind control? IDK?

    There isn't really a cohesive story so it ought to be very awkward for any politician to claim to be a champion of this theory.
