Selective Service (draft registration) was always mandatory; now it's just automatic instead of having to fill out paperwork when you turn 18.

If they ever get put in front of a judge for any kind of criminal behavior, it's another thing they can be slapped with if the judge wants to throw the boom at someone (frankly its low hanging fruit in that regard). Up to 250K fine, 5 years jail time, plus a felony.

If required to register with Selective Service, failure to register is a felony punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or 5 years imprisonment. Also, a person who knowingly counsels, aids, or abets another to fail to comply with the registration requirement is subject to the same penalties.

Shit like this is why I haven't bothered trying to get a diagnosis as an adult. Even if I get it, and get prescribed anything, there's no point if you can't reliably get meds to take consistently.

The news would lose their shit if it was drugs for diabetes, but fuck people with ADHD I guess, jump through the flaming hoop and juggle pharmacies.

Ahhh, Strattera. I remember being on that as a kid. Made me noxious and suppressed my appetite (apparently you're supposed to eat before taking it?) but from what I remember worked pretty well.

The appetite suppression is why my parents took me off of it and replaced it with

Absolutely nothing. And didn't keep records of my medical history. And made no attempts to have me treated for it after the age of 10.

Here's a list of 10 pharmacies in your area you can try having your prescription sent to, get there, and find out they don't have it (a tale I've heard many times...), WHILE you don't have the meds that makes that not a monumental task! While being judged by every pharmacist for daring to need a CoNtrOlLed SUUUUUUBSTAAAAANCE.

They're really not. Brick-and-barrel-pin power connectors, panels that shit the bed with regularity, and a few "smart" monitor models. Other brands are more reliable imo.

Wide variety of dead/dying backlights, as well as malfunctioning video ports (flickering, static, etc. with no discernable cause, no matter the cable/device); extra/ultra-wides seemed especially unstable. The curved ones do not have serviceable backlights so they're electronic waste.

As a fat dude, I assure you, being fat sucks. It gets expensive; "enough" food for a meal slowly creeps up, your feet hurt all the time and can increase in size (making it harder to find shoes that fit, which are generally a higher starting price). A lot more health issues can crop up and can be harder to treat properly. Lack of energy is fucking awful.

I greatly enjoyed Origins after having played Odyssey (which was an absolute slog). I could NOT get into Syndicate, it just felt like a beat-em-up with bullet knife-sponge enemies. Unity was fun.

I loved Origins for the story, it felt very cohesive, and the voice acting was fantastic. Each major area had fairly memorable characters and tales, truly hateable villains, whereas Odyssey... most areas are forgetable.

For Ohio, that's either out of date or including a lot of outliers. Average range is 250-350K, with new builds going about 500K because fuck you.

Worm is one of the few works I've seen with a lengthy, and justified, trigger warning list. For all the authors works, really. Heavy on bio-horror.

The ending paragraph for Worm hits HARD, and I don't recommend reading the epilogue immediately after it for that reason (it's really more of a prologue for the sequel anyway)

Agreed, teachers there were assholes. I lost some souvenirs from my childhood i can't get back, to a shithead math teacher who enjoyed making you use perfect grammer/phrasing to ask for things back (may i vs can i); if you didn't he'd hold onto it longer or indefinitely. All because I was "being distracting" by using them as a fidget toy.
