I'm more concerned with the chain of well suited men that makes russsian oil reach the west market

Siegfried ,

Here in Argentina, salaries more or less follow inflation (they always are a little behind anyway... unless you are a politician).

Inflations isnt new to Turkey, so i guess they must be adjusting them

If im not mistaken, when the pontón was originally planned, israel wasnt suppose to enter Rafah... maybe thats the origin of the problem?

When will it be accidentally, we are so sorry, this wont happen again, bombed?

My siamese started pooping in random places when she was really sick....

and about the purring, it could mean many things. Another cat of mine was going through a really rough medical condition a few years back and i stayed by her through all the process. She was almost unable to breath, and yet, she purred like never before.

When did she came to you? Could she be stressed?

Siegfried , (edited )

It saddens me that someone can do something like that. A neighbor recently adopted a Carey that was dumped by her +10 years former family because they were going to live abroad. She is adapting herself, but still visibly affected.

About the pooping, maybe it is just a learning issue. When i rescued my tortie from the streets, she started pooping not randomly but inside (or pretty close if the door was closed) of my bathroom. I just took her to another room alone (she is pretty hyperactive, 3 mins was enough to get her bored). After the second time, she naver did it again, and now happily uses the sandbox.

Someone told me that cats dont understand reprimands but they surely understand being bored. I dont know if that is true, but it helped me.

Edit: cat tax. Gusfraba sleeping in the geometrical center of my bed, because she obviously needs all the spaceCattax

"The world will start to become inviable".. ah, by big things they mean "good" things?

Siegfried ,

I guess russian military personnel abroad isn't cannon fodder, because for obvious reasons, they are not as easy to replace as the meat waves in their border. So, maybe russia is being forced to send actual soldiers abroad and leave just the untrained ones in ukraine

Siegfried ,

Dont take this personal, but as someone that has nothing to do with the US, reading things like "genocide joe" feel so unbelievably stupid and cringe... like, have you seen anything of american history? You guys feed on war

Transition from litter box to doing business outdoors

We've got one cat 6months and the other 3months old, currently both using the litterbox. However we're going to move to a new house soon, and eventually try to transition them to getting used to doing their business outdoors instead of the litterbox. Does anyone have any tips or best practices for this transition?...

Siegfried ,

You have to be a human to ruin biodiversity, it's a known fact.

English is a germanic language. Is loanword an actual calque, and not an "evolved" version of a root word?

Siegfried ,

If you want a picture of hell, here in Argentina it has become common to offer 12 months paying schemes for hair cuts.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW

Have anyone opened the link?

Siegfried ,

Good thing he brought that up, so we all can debate again how awfully bad is to use a nuke, and to nuke civilian targets.

Siegfried , (edited )

You either have a problem with stability or with open source, in any case, you should repent!

Siegfried ,

1/3 of the bus lines didnt adhere to the strike. People from other lines greeted them today by cuting their tires and breaking windows. If that is democracy, then we are doomed.

Milei has 38 of 257 deputies in the lower chamber and less than a third in the senate. I think democracy has better ways to deal with his lunatic policies than that.

Siegfried ,

Inflation is falling, but It hasn't fall to prior milei times yet. The situations is strange, but in general, we are waiting (or hoping, idk anymore) that it will continue going down. Strange thing to see, bank investment rates (idk the correct term in english) are going down and are lower for longer investment periods. Some prices have skyrocketed for the working class* (gas, electricity) and other are either in the same place as 3 months ago or plummeting (food, general goods, misc.).

Most of the fuzz heard on the news are policitally guided, which is sad cause this truly means that at the end we just dont care about anything anymore.

*dont even think that the working class is the lower class here, if a real crisis really hits that lower piece of the cake, we are all done, with the lunatic of milei and the freaking nazicommunists of the kirchners included.

Siegfried ,

With 10% annually, it just affects your long term plans. Both prices and sallaries are kind of adjusted in the way, but you still manage to think about making a small vacation or something. Here most people is not "financially formed" and would "invest" in things that just hold their value. Think of buying gold per Kg with any remaining dollars you have.

With 10% monthly you are pretty much fried cause you truly dont know what is going to happen in the next month. Prices kind of lose meaning and you start to be more attentive on basic needs. The milk is 2k AR$. Is it much? Idk, but I need it, so i buy it.

I never experienced 10% daily (my parents did), but i feel that it is still somehow better. With that rate the economy just crashes, debts are pardon, schools make exceptions, healthcare just works. Its a terrible mess, but it has an end... or so they say.

Siegfried ,

Its common between "legal workers". I, for instance usually get a rise per year, but if inflation rate surpases certain level, the rise is either renegotiated or just adjusted by inflation. It helps but it always falls behind inflation.
2 years ago i was earning like 200k AR$ monthly (roughly 600 US$ in black market currency), now im doing 850k AR$ (roughly 850 US$ BM, it was 600US$ pre milei) + 115k AR$ with a second job.

Im not unionized.

A big chunk of Argentina's workers are non legal ones (usually the worker gets either a bigger pay or gets to keep universal income for non-employment and the employer avoids some taxes). I dont know what they do on those cases.

Edit: inb4, unions are great. People should be unionized. Im against unions in Argentina though, most of them have become a mafia in every sense of the word.

Siegfried ,

This is correct. I think you are underestimating the quantity of persons who care about this in both countries, but then again, we both have currently worst things to deal with.

Siegfried ,

Dont do that, please. My 17 years old siamese kiki was taken away from me by renal disease 5 months ago. The last 4 months were terrible. She was blind and barely made it to the box. My mother was the worst at that time and was looking for excuses to put her down. She also refused to have multiple boxes or anything that could have made my cat's life easier. (Sorry, im just venting, but fuck my psycopath mother, freaking loony).

I'm in peace knowing that i and my brothers did everything we could to make kiki feel loved to the last minute.

Siegfried ,

Why would I want to be a talentless motherfucker?

Siegfried ,

That's how someone sleeps once he realizes that he is the apex predator of the dominion.

Siegfried ,

I think my siamese is a little monkey, so we are quit

Sorry for your loss op

US does not provide Ukraine with capabilities to conduct strikes outside its territory – Pentagon ( www.pravda.com.ua )

The United States does not provide Ukraine with capabilities to conduct strikes outside its territory, focusing instead on ensuring that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have everything they need to defend and protect their own country.

Media: German companies involved in Russian 'reconstruction' of occupied Mariupol ( kyivindependent.com )

German companies Knauf and WKB Systems GmbH are involved in the so-called restoration efforts of occupied Mariupol in Donetsk Oblast, which was destroyed by Russian troops, according to an investigation published on April 3 by journalists of the Monitor program of the German TV channel ARD.

Siegfried ,

You are probably right but german people =/= german government =/= german companies

Siegfried ,

Totalling over 11000 destroyed artillery systems.... how many do they have? was this done with the few dozens of artillery systems delivered by the west?

Siegfried ,

I don't get russia wasting this missiles on random targets... did they target something of military worth or just "let's bombard kiyv to have something to show to the news"?

Update for the sad post yesterday

My previous post was about one of the two kittens I saved being near death and the vet said there was nothing we can do and suggested putting him down. As I said before, we decided against that and took him home to keep him warm. He slept in bed with us tucked into a heating pad. Still as weak and frail as before....

Siegfried ,

There are a lot of assholish nations that could easily take that place, but imo there are enough references to Dalai lama in the show to assume that the fire nation is china

Siegfried ,

I'm all against populist and authoritarian regimes, but taking them out of the table, fuck USA.

Siegfried ,

I have seen dead social media or social media approaching its dead, but I ve never seen this. Keen looks like it had zero activity for a long, long time.

Siegfried ,

My cat never liked meat, fish or chicken. she would eat vegetables and kibble.. sometimes watermelon or another juicy fruit.

I really dont know if this was a sign or not, but eventually we discovered she had a renal condition.
