Totalling over 11000 destroyed artillery systems.... how many do they have? was this done with the few dozens of artillery systems delivered by the west?

They were rumored do have just under 20k in storage before the war, so Russia has a lot more. Though the best has already been used up and what they are getting out of storage is more and more broken and so needs repairs. They may have already used up some of their best systems (for whatever best means). They are using WWII designed made in the 1950s - while they still work as designed, the age means they break more often than new stuff and the are unlikely to be adaptable to modern computer controls. So not ideal for Russia. However Russia has a lot more soldiers (which they don't care about) and quantity is a quality all its own. Still for the rest of 2024 everyone expects Russia will have more artillery than they want (though not always the versions they want) and that is a big advantage. If Ukraine holds out to 2025 though Russia is expected to run out.

it's mindboggling how vastly the Ukrainians have degraded RU artillery. If you watch the daily results, it's 20-40 tubes/mlrs launchers per DAY. And though the Russians had ample soviet leftovers to pick through, I suspect those have been used up. Further, the specialized metallurgy required to make the special steel alloys needed for tube arty is currently something the russians don't have internal production for. They can get more from NK and CN but they'll have to pay top dollar for 'em, and they'll probably be shitty (see NK artillery round quality lol)

Nobody thinks Russia has used up Soviet leftovers. There are public satellite images of their storage yards showing many more - though they also show a large reduction overall, there is still a lot in storage. Though it is likely the best is used up and nobody knows what in storage is still usable vs what is not restore-able for whatever reason. There is still a lot in storage though, best guesses (from people who do not have a security clearance and thus can talk) suggest Russia will run out sometime around the start of 2025 - but who knows
