So of ya'll talk about "reply guys" on Mastodon. And yeah that exists, but it's like the least annoying of the gruesome menagerie I used to deal with every day on X social media.

    OK, old cis-guy here. This is adorbs.

    I named my AFAB child "Evalyn" and we (unknowing of Pokemon) started to call the kid "Evie" pronounced the same way as the Pokemon.

    Well, (hint hint) the kid was "tomboyish" until later the egg cracked and his parents finally figured out he's a dude.

    I don't know enough about Pokemon-lore to know if there are more bro-like final versions of Eevee, but I hope you can let me know about any!

    Mastodon's search system has many special commands called "operators" which let you tweak what the results show.

    To use an operator just include it in your search, and it will filter the results in the way you want. For example if you just want results that have polls, include the operator "has:poll". Operators let you filter searches by date, author, post type, language and more.

    Hard to overstate how enshittified and botshitted Google Maps has become. Went looking for my local locksmith on Gmaps. Maps shows 20+ fake locksmith referral scam outlets and doesn't even register the real locksmith, despite it being fully visible in Street View.

    Instead, a red pin on the shop identifies it as a fake locksmith scammer. The real locksmith - which has been there SINCE 1942 (!!) and is a verified merchant - doesn't even show up.
