I have a terrible bug & have felt horrid for 2 days, but seriously awful today. If this is what President Joe had at the , I respect him even more. I couldn’t debate a clump of dirt right now let alone a raging lunatic under Klieg lights on live TV for 90 minutes. My whole head feels like a cartoon thumb that was hit with a hammer.

I think about the pure technical choices CNN made: camera angles on tfg vs Biden, lighting. tfg always appeared to be speaking straight into the camera. Biden’s camera/podium made it look like he was either addressing tfg or no one.
The whole thing was a shit show, even before you get into lack of fact check on tfg.
I fail to see what media gains if the entire country collapses into dystopia. Do they think tfg as dictator will allow them to continue to exist except as puppets?

A lot of people will be very negatively impacted by this Republican extremism, yet there are still people who claim they don’t see a difference in this election between Biden as president (with the power to put in place environmental protections and the power to nominate justices) and Trump. It’s laughable.

I grew up in Pittsburgh in the 60’s and I remember the black soot that would accumulate on the window sills (inside) every week, from the steel mills. I’m sure it had an affect on my lungs & lung capacity, which have never been great.

If you, the legislators making laws that restrict access to abortion, don’t care about rape or incest victims, if you don’t care that pregnancies gone wrong can endanger the life, health,& future fertility of the patient, maybe you care about the cost & availability of medical care.
Every person needing emergency care, intensive care for a failed pregnancy on the point of sepsis & death boosts the cost of insurance/medical care for everyone else.
You should care about it all, but you don’t.

I should update those who have been kind enough to ask:

I’m finally all better! As of yesterday, I felt like my old self again.

We move into the new townhouse in Aug. We gave the sellers time to find a place to live, so we have to wait.

My car arrived yesterday! While Mr. Laffy was picking it up at the Canadian border, a drug bust took place within feet of him. Dogs sniffed out the culprit, and Mr. Laffy also got…sniffed!

We have no charger here. 24 hours later, my car is still plugged in

I suspect it has more to do with current mortgage interest rates than anything about your house, which I’m sure was beautifully renovated. Those who can make a cash offer may be sitting on their hands or just not looking. It will sell, but waiting sucks.

I was born more than 60 years ago. I had a relatively cool (aka, normal temperature) childhood and young adulthood. Even parts of my middle-age were relatively cool. We've abruptly entered HOT HELL in early 2000's. As I sit here in Ann Arbor, Michigan--just west of Detroit--we've been having unseasonably HOT days and nights, with highs above 90 degrees F.
