Did they forget about the part where he says “security for ourselves in a free world?” Do they realize that is NATO’s prime directive? OR… what part don’t they like? Is it security? Is it a free world?
I think they hate equality because they don't come from an "a rising tide lifts all boats" mentality.
They seem to operate from a world view of scarcity. Whatever is given to PersonX is less whatever that can be given to them.
Somehow other people having something diminishes their cut.
Tough to explain here, but I had a parent like that. They could never be happy for what somebody else received because their thought was always "but where's MINE?!"

Putin wants to break up NATO, so the Republicans in the House are trying to oblige. Khrushchev was right, but it won't be communism that buries us, it will be the Russian Mafia led by Vladimir Putin. @GottaLaff There’s no CBO analysis yet, but a quick scan shows the total bill to be in excess of $15 billion, for a number of military construction projects and other things. So they tanked all of that because they wanted to posture about one item representing less than 3% of the total bill.
I suspect Europe keenly feels just how deeply messed up a fascist US would be. Ultra right parties and EU elections are just as terrible. The wreckage they’d do.
