@GottaLaff I really appreciate Bidens response, even after the verdict came down. Unlike the orange tinted tyrant, he isn’t trying to circumvent the will of the people. If the charges are true, and he committed crimes, he should be punished for those crimes accordingly. No special treatment just because he is the sitting president’s son. The charges may have been gimned up by the GOP, but a jury found him guilty. The exact same is true for the orange tinted traitor.
@GottaLaff@atrupar If they can’t call Biden a felon to soften Trump’s conviction with voters - at least they can (maybe) call his son one… that’s the whole game. Improve the optics for Trumps (multitude of) flaws…
@Edelruth@tanyakaroli@GottaLaff She is a trump appointee and has been making unusual decisions all along. Case in point: there are real chain of custody issues as well as issues around hacking attempts on HB's accounts, but none of that was allowed to be entered into court. Marcy Wheeler makes the point that maybe this all is aired and overturned in appeals, but in terms of muddying the waters before the election, it succeeded. @GottaLaff@atrupar I read about this, but I thought you had to be convicted of using/selling drugs to be considered to have been lying on the federal firearms applications? Using is grounds enough? Every pot smoker in the world would be convicted of the same thing!
So that the MAGAs understand the sarcasm, a tilde should be placed after the sentence ending punctuation.~ Although, then an explanation of the tilde would be required.
There are a few punctuation marks that can be used to indicate sarcasm, including:
Exclamation mark in brackets: For example, "Oh, really[!]", this is similar to how a bracketed question mark can be used in informal rhetorical questions.
Tilde: A tilde (~) can be placed next to punctuation to indicate sarcasm. For example, ~. for dry sarcasm, ~! for enthusiastic sarcasm, and ~? for sarcastic questions.
True, it isn't used except by a few; and I was only suggesting that sarcasm should be specifically identified to some, lest they believe it to be serious.
Like the brouhaha that began over Sean Hannity & Trump recently posting a fake story.
Per my colleague @darehgregorian: “Two of the counts carry maximum prison sentences of 10 years, while the third has a maximum of five years. Each count also carries a maximum fine of $250,000.”
Meanwhile Kyle Rittenhouse, who crossed state lines with an illegally obtained AR, and killed people with that gun, is free.
I’m so glad Garland got his man. 🙄
I will never agree that guy is “just doing his job.” No, he’s not. J6 instigators in Congress are still free, among other insulting non-actions by this lame DOJ.
@GottaLaff@atrupar so it is possible for an American to be prosecuted over guns, and all the people who are normally insufferable NRA apologists are cheering for this.
@GottaLaff The GOP interfered in his plea deal. James Comer’s statement says it all. They have Weaponized the justice department against the Biden family. Honorable people that they are the Biden’s will accept the verdict accept the punishment and appeal. If SC returns a pro gun verdict on 3 cases currently in front of the court: a law designed to protect domestic violence victims, a Trump-era ban on machine gun conversion devices, and the free speech rights of the gun industry
