Tiger lily also known as Columbia lily (Lilium columbianum). I never realized until recently how many beautiful wildflowers grow on Vancouver Island.

Snowball bush flowers- viburnum opulus roseum was one of my 96 years young grandmother’s favorite flowers. She loved their soft sweet aroma. She is missed terribly. View the photograph here: https://1-nataile-thompson.pixels.com/featured/snowball-viburnum-opulus-roseum-nataile-thompson.html.

I absolutely love the delicate beauty of this bearded Mary Frances orchid Iris, Iradaceae. The blue orchid flowers have a sweet fragrance, ruffled falls and standards. It is quite eye catching in the spring garden and is beautiful in a bouquet in any room of the home.

There's just the odd late Narcissus / Daff still around, enjoying the sunshine. Fancy ones like this are quite nice...

Incredibly, my computer has tagged this gorgeous, vibrant flower as species "Wallflower." But I can't imagine it languishing on the side of a dance floor - it's stunning!

Bluebells in the local wood are pretty close to their peak. I prophecise more bluebells in my near future...

Our red dahlia looking stunning a couple of weeks ago. I really do like the centres of dahlias, with those split yellow anthers and the simple shape...

Won't be long and the forest will be overflowing with Trilliums. The woods at the arboretum in Guelph Ontario Canada were filled with white Trillium wildflowers that covered the forest floor beautifully in spring.
