    more gouache sketchbook dump, after those 4 pages of chickens I got hooked on heads and have been stuck on heads ever since

    a page in the same format as before, this time with two head studies of a white woman with a grey hat done in pinks and greys. the first of these is finished quite naturalist, the second one washed out for future corrections
    a page with three head studies of a white woman with very red hair done mostly in light pink, ocher and red tones
    a page with two head studies of a black woman with very short hair, done in warm reddish brown and ocher tones and some blue-purple in the shadows

    Magnolias are believed to be the earliest known flowering plants, with their fossils dating back over 100 million years. Magnolia trees even existed before bees, so they rely on beetles for pollination. Instead of nectar, the flowers produce large quantities of pollen that the beetles use for food.
