Huh, apparently I never posted any of the #weevils I did earlier this year here. But! I just finished these two, about 3 months after starting them, and I am quite pleased with how they turned out. These were done directly in graphite on A3 paper, then I put a pretty solid wash of Burnt Sienna ink over them, then forgot about them for a while, now finished with gouache.
Going through my folder of scanned drawings and thinking about how I'd maybe like to paint again some day, but not today.
Meanwhile, here's a Swan of Discontent, a perfectly normal swan that is not upset at anything. Gouache & ink.
Trying to keep up with my 'one artwork per month that isn't for work or a side hustle'... felt inspired by a nice photo I took at the park today so used that as a reference for a quick painting - gouache + acrylic pens.
