My fave picture I took today, was this young female Reed Bunting who had just been handed a Dragonfly by its dad. It sat there with it in the shrub for about 10 mins before deciding to consume it,
I was out today in the fens just outside Cambridge UK, The hedgerows looked like this picture, oh and there is a bird in the picture somewhere for good measure (Sedge Warbler)
Just to follow up on that squirrel who looks like he's practicing his plunger moves to blow us up (see previous post), here is one actually eating a lupine flower blossom.
A total of 350 environmental groups came together to pressure the government to act more robustly and decisively against the biodiversity crisis. Charities including the National Trust, the Wildlife Trusts, the RSPB and Friends of the Earth stood side by side with direct action groups such as Just Stop Oil, Extinction Rebellion and Animal Rising.

These fierce terns breed around the arctic, and at the end of breeding season migrate all the way to the Antarctic, having the longest migration distance amongst birds.
A tower of giraffes 🦒 for #WorldGiraffeDay! Such an apt #termOfVenery for the world’s tallest animal, celebrated on the longest day (in the northern hemisphere - or night in the southern). There are estimated to be only 117,000 remaining in the wild so #conservation efforts are needed to ensure they survive and thrive in the future.
