Sat working at home, when the squawking of Magpie children disputed my train of thought. I looked out the window to see the mother Magpie flying bank and forth from our mealworm feeder delivering lunch to its Juveniles on the fence outside the front of the house.

I have pictures of just 3 birds (species) today, but they are all nice in their own way.

We were at Pitstone Water this afternoon, walking round the Wildlife Trust route on the south side. There were a pair of Red Kites that buzzed us as we got out of the car in the car park (and later went on to harass a pair of Common Tern).

It's been a grey old day, so much so I couldn't find the motivation to go out. But at 4pm I thought I'd just take a stroll round the Local reserve (Summer Leys), not expecting any/many photo opportunities. But I saw a few interesting things and had a go at capturing them with an ounce of over exposure.
