Streetartwall. A fantastic mural of a huge ship (17 x 8 meters) was sprayed/painted on the outside wall of a five-storey modern clinic building. It is supposed to represent democratic Europe. The large wooden ship hangs below a giant hot air balloon and is populated by bird-like creatures who navigate the airship through stormy weather. The intricate little houses, towers and superstructures of the ship are depicted in fantastic detail and look like a fine pencil drawing. The ship has a figurehead, also a bird figure, the goddess Athena, who points the way with a spear. She stands for wisdom and protects freedom and democracy. It contains historical references, such as a European flag placed in the middle and the depiction of the Palace of Justice in Brussels (below the ship). An anchor hangs down from the ship and reaches up to the clouds. Info: Gijs Vanhee is a Belgian artist. His drawings have a recognizable style, often in black and white or with limited use of color, often with fantastic bird-people, which he himself describes as "free birds". The mural was created on the occasion of the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

    Well known for its red and white-spotted cap, fly agaric has a mutually-beneficial relationship with birch trees in the forest. In Scotland, the fly agaric occurs throughout the mainland, the larger islands such as Skye, Mull and Rum, and has also been recorded in the Outer Hebrides.

    Puffins spend most of their lives out at sea, resting on the waves when not swimming. They are well suited to life on the sea and mostly eat fish. They only return to land to breed.

    This one is called Ducula badia - and, as I remember, is somehow related to pigeons.

    Realistic drawing of a bird, similar to pigeon, but more beige, with dark brown wings and tail. It has pink beak and blue eyes. Only eye is visible as bird is depicted from the side, turned to left side of the picture. It is sitting on a tree branch and more blurry branches are visible in the background.

    @KarinWanderer Okay, it took a while, but I have finally found my stash of childhood drawings. So here is my #UsagiYojimbo as well as an attacking mercenary, inspired by the #Commodore64 computer game.
