#Trump says battery powered planes can’t fly in cloudy weather, inflation is 30%. Revelations about shocking Trump rapes and sexual assaults w J. Epstein. WaPo leads w 2 front page stories on #Biden’s debate meltdown, pressure to withdraw. One on Trump—on his strategy to lie low because of firestorm over Biden. NOTHING on these Trump scandals. Nothing. Journalistic malpractice to the max. Sleepwalking to autocracy. New slogan for the Post: Democracy dies in negligence.
I’ve never done this before, but I fired off an angry email to Reuters yesterday about their complicity in the Biden is Unfit to Serve narrative. 2 articles in the top stories section and 1 video in Reuters TV.
I linked the analysis by Seth Abramson regarding CNN’s post debate poll.
Well, why are the Epstein lists not being touted by the Biden Harris ticket? Why is this news not in their commercials; being talked about everywhere by all the Dems?
It doesn't have to be this quiet. I don't see why it is this way
I changed the photo same one basically but I wanted to use one that appears as a photo not a link. So sometimes I write the thought, knowing what I want to insert, then keep editing until I find one that does show as a photo or graphic. Many will only show as text.
@GottaLaff The coverage on the rape allegations related to Epstein were so low key that I was wondering if they were old or not verified or some reason why WAPO and NYT weren’t leading with those. This just makes me sick to my stomach.
@GottaLaff Today and yesterday's Washington Post. Nothing on front page regarding any of Trump’s outrageous remarks or social media posts. Dangers of what SCOTUS did, Project 2025. It is up to us.
@GottaLaff well yeah the clouds is how the sharks get up to ya, they just swim up a waterspout, not those left low flow waterspouts they made me install in gulf because drill baby drill but the full flow ones that really move the classified docs through the pipes
@GottaLaff Who's left doing any kind of good reporting? I just skimmed @AP and it's all the same thing, not a whisper of the new DJT scandals, but a drumbeat of questions about Biden.
I don't even know where to go for quality news any more.
@solitha Pro Publica, for one, local papers you trust, and also, among the MSM, any good investigative reporters within the horrible publication. There are some.
@GottaLaff ProPublica is top-notch for what they do but isn't really the national news scene that NYT, WaPo and AP used to be good for. I dropped my subs for both the former and am paywalled out.
I'm hearing about the new Epstein-related thing here on Mastodon but can't find any good sources.
@solitha The new Epstein thing will go nowhere except maybe politically. Apparently they couldn't prosecute for this (not enough evidence, bad witnesses?)
Yeah, but they do great investigative work, they are national, they broke the Clarence Thomas story which was and is viral, so I don't agree with you there.
Big MSM ... nada.
We have to amplify the good ones.
@willbunch is a great columnist for the Enquirer, for ex.
@GottaLaff It’s really tough to watch. It’s hard to understand why people do what they do. Thanks for keeping the faith I’m a hair away from tuning it all out.
@GottaLaff
the big newspapers that we used to rely on aren't getting the job done anymore. once I figured out they're licking do-nothing donfraud's boots (just in case) I quit reading them.
@GottaLaff I think Orenstein mostly has it correct, except that the failure by #WaPo to focus on Trump is intentional, not negligent. Bezos fired editors who want to engage in journalism and brought in Murdoch hacks to run the paper. They suppressed the Alito flag story for three years - that is not negligence
@GottaLaff Too bad our MEDIA is so bought or broken they see nothing worth reporting in Trump's incoherent, rambling & threatening rhetoric??? Is getting ahead worth selling your soul?
@GottaLaff@blogdiva Trump will extend the tax cuts. When the stock market collapses and the rich will have no capitals gains to pay taxes on, they might change their minds, but given their track record having learned nothing from 2008, I doubt it.
