@GottaLaff Who's left doing any kind of good reporting? I just skimmed @AP and it's all the same thing, not a whisper of the new DJT scandals, but a drumbeat of questions about Biden.

I don't even know where to go for quality news any more.

@GottaLaff ProPublica is top-notch for what they do but isn't really the national news scene that NYT, WaPo and AP used to be good for. I dropped my subs for both the former and am paywalled out.

I'm hearing about the new Epstein-related thing here on Mastodon but can't find any good sources.

@GottaLaff One point I've not really heard made yet, and I think it needs to be.

If the Constitution is suspended... the 2nd Amendment is gone. And authoritarians don't really like an armed citizenry.

I don't understand CWing political posts. And that doesn't mean you need to @ me explaining why. I know THEIR reasons, I just disagree with them and won't do it.

I respect CWs for other things, but not politics. Politics is news and people need to be aware of what's happening. It's not gory or violent, it's politics.

@ignova @artemesia @GottaLaff I may be speaking out of place here, but I understand that eye contact is difficult for those on the autism spectrum, because it is perceived as threatening. I am not certain; perhaps someone who actually knows could chime in.

I dgaf about CW for politics. I'd advocate for hashtags to empower those who want to filter. But I also know that Laffy's gotta be machine-gunning these things out so idk how to hashtag every one of them.
