try Poweramp, it's paid but it costs like 10 cents and comes with a 3 day trial (no subscriptions or other bs)

Samsung actually offers e2e encryption for location data using a pin code but unfortunately it's disabled by default for some reason. also only available for phones, not other pingable devices like wireless earbuds

it's symmetrical encryption so the pin code is the private key, (or er, the key's derived from it)

but also Samsung still gets the network address of the repotting device which can be used to get approximate location

There's apparently a Reddit activity streak achievement system now. ( lemmy.world )

I just noticed this when I saw a strange "Achievement Unlocked" notification pop up on Reddit. What do you think of this? It seems like a retention tactic to me, like what Amino had with its streak leaderboards, and GameFAQs currently has with streak achievements for logging on ten days in a row and also for all days of a month.

yeah i still whip out my old redmi note 4 whenever i need to use some obscure appliance that only works with ir.
the thing's annoying af tho, the battery's dies after like 5 minutes, barely able to charge and turns off randomly, the thing takes 5 minutes to boot and the os is ridiculously slow with all the modern updates

i have no idea what this brand is supposed to be but...
tbh i don't see anything wrong with the right one
logos are supposed to be simple-ish, use minimal amount of colors and be scalable and it sure does a better job with it's reduced color palette and vector shapes
the one on the left should be reserved for e.g. illustrations

but technically you can, but with a self signed certificate only (ehich are less secure; or by asking people to set up the dns manually)
with self signed certs you don't lose encryption, but the client won't be able to make sure that it's connecting to your server specifically

my isp doesn't assign me an ipv4 and i have a dynamic ipv6 prefix, I'm hosting stuff over ipv6 just fine with dynamic prefix (i even have a ipv4 proxy set up, but it doesn't see much use), just need to update it like every week in dns records (automatically of course)

except Ukrainian for some reason. I've had a lot of issues with english, polish and russian content, but Cloudstream3 with cloudstreak-extensions-uk never ever stopped working and has all of the content i care for, with high quality dubs from either the source or local tv channels (both sound as good as the og English va)

well, katamari specifically has some rendering issues with text but they're really minor and don't affect gameplay.
sucks that most of these use gyro tho, feels really awkward to use (left stick on any controller can be used instead but it's still not ideal) (unless you're like sitting on a toilet or sth lol, where you can comfortably hold the phone flat)

reddit has a huge backlog of billions of posts. until lemmy keeps up with it, i won't completely leave reddit, because my favorite part about reddit is exploring obscure communities, which lemmy does not have. (I'm using lemmy for actual discussions and stuff) Also I think it's still the most decent network out of all big tech ones, i.e. it's not as bad as fucking Instagram or whatever...

the removed like half of the features (including mic tray), removed ukrainian localization (which my mom relied on), removed the option to disable hw acceleration (which is borked with my specific gpu in chromium and results in extremely blurry text and ghosting artifacts) and switched to ms edge webview from chromium (so if you're using windows and uninstall edge, it won't start)
