Yeah a lot of people might not be aware just how heinous Japans actions were in The Second Sino-Japanese War (the Chinese War of Resistance) in the lead-up to Asias involvement in WWII.

I've shucked probably 100s of those WD essentials and they just had a little SATA -> USB adapter on it. It's been a few years but it doesn't seem like they'd make a whole new PCB just to include USB.

I feel like like the QAnon stuff swept up huge swaths of otherwise unconnected conspiracy theorists. Flat earth, chemtrails, aliens, all the "classic" conspiracies just kind of got co-opted and folded into the big crazy tent of insane people.

You're supposing that Trump is the candidate to do that, I think most of lemmy would agree with you so I'll cede that point.

Well, this is just completely false, you're completely disconnected from reality. Irish were never blocked from whites-only schools were they? Irish people were never subject to interracial marriage laws afaik. Were any Irish ever entirely excluded from being able to immigrate to the U.S.? I know it's popular among certain groups to pretend certain Europeans faced the same disadvantages as formerly enslaved African-Americans but frankly it's incredibly insulting and tone deaf as fuck.

Update for the sad post yesterday

My previous post was about one of the two kittens I saved being near death and the vet said there was nothing we can do and suggested putting him down. As I said before, we decided against that and took him home to keep him warm. He slept in bed with us tucked into a heating pad. Still as weak and frail as before....

Go ahead and vote for Biden but unless you start taking non-voting actions and immediately it really won’t matter.

I understood them pretty well, direct action is needed. Voting is a requirement and is only the very beginning if you want to achieve your goals. You have to organize and canvas and make calls and attend those city council meetings.

The left is scared to say the quiet part out loud other than (non) jokes about "eating the rich," because it gets you visited by the FBI. The right can organize and scheme and the status quo is fine with it but if "commies" start agitating they bring out the rubber bullets and teargas (see BLM protests).
