Seriously. Here's a map of US military installations across the world, plus the US has a stranglehold on large portions of South America. They may not treat everyone as poorly as the British did, but they sure love to kill brown people to get their natural resources.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I don't get what your point is. Your comment is primarily disjointed, rambling criticism. Are you just doing the ol' Reddit "I have nothing useful or interesting to add to this conversation, so I'm just going to criticize some comments so I can feel better about myself"?

Hey everyone! I don't understand racism in the slightest but I'm sure going to tell everyone my opinions on it!

Fixed that for you.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Daaaamn, dog. Louisiana is going to need to invest a lot of money into reforestation after that sick burn.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Reading this comment has made me measurably stupider.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Trolling or just a dumbass?

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Definitely, but it's mostly twenty to thirty somethings, some forties. My wife and I are nearly in our fifties and occasionally make a fake account to whatever service is big that year/decade to see what we've been missing. We don't feel like we're missing much.

A buddy of ours of similar age is a widower and, after many years, has decided to try dating again. He's meeting women but has variable results. I can't say he's having better or worse dates than when meeting people in person, but he's having a lot more of all the dates, so it's like they're more concentrated.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

LOL

At you, not with you, so everyone is clear.

Bad arguments are bad.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

That's my take. I use a CBD vape or oil for arthritis pain and it noticably makes a difference. The oil takes awhile to kick in but it makes me get pretty goofy at higher doses, even without THC in it.

Republicans: Keep political statements that challenge my beliefs and make me uncomfortable out of my sports/TV/video games/etc!

Fixed that for you.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

You're got to be kidding. The post is about right to work laws. It includes a summary of what that means, plus links for more information. So you downvoted because OP didn't compare and contrast two unrelated laws or write a dissertation on how right to work laws vary by state/county/city. Laws that by definition literally only do one thing. This shit is why people don't post more.

To highlight how ridiculous your comment is, I'll help OP out and provide what you found to be so lacking. I know this is going to make OP look pretty bad, so I'm sure they'll provide at least a partial refund of what you paid for their post.

At-will employment: you can be fired for anything not protected by law.

Right to work laws: employees in unionized workplaces cannot negotiate employment contracts which require that non union employees must pay union dues.

Compare: they are applied to employees
Contrast: neither does anything similar

For my next trick, I'll provide specific relevant application for local law scenarios by state.

Alabama: employees in unionized workplaces cannot negotiate employment contracts which require that non union employees must pay union dues

Arkansas: employees in unionized workplaces cannot negotiate employment contracts which require that non union employees must pay union dues

Georgia: employees in unionized workplaces cannot negotiate employment contracts which require that non union employees must pay union dues

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

GTFO of here, this is Reddit Lemmy. Anyone providing anything useful for free must be subjected to intensely unfair scrutiny or the whole system falls apart.

/s

But really, this place is increasingly turning into Reddit and it's depressing.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

That's about right. Their profit margin per vehicle in 2023 was nearly $10k USD.

They laid off all those people to maximize profits while they're experiencing a downturn due to reduced demand and increased competition. Workers never share in good fortune, only misfortune.

Tesla's shareholders are insane to give Tesla's greatest liability a huge payout while their company is experiencing a downturn. I can't wait to watch Tesla crash and burn.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Saying an imperialist Jewish ethno-state is bad is the same as saying Jews are bad!

Yeah, you're not real bright.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

You've got to be trolling. No one, I mean NO ONE is this stupid.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I did, but your mom stole it after I fucked her.

Don’t be bitter. Be better!

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Can you describe the extremism left of spectrum?

Honest question, not JAQing off, and I won't jump down your throat no matter what you say.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I really hope you're joking. It's written with high school level vocabulary at most.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I like to think that a lot of the more "Reddity" Reddit refugees from .world, those who tend toward pearl clutching theatrics like these posts, will eventually head back to Reddit. Maybe they'll find their perfect alternative, where there are no dev or admin issues and everyone has a comforting (for them) center-left to center-right, Western ideology driven political stance that never challenges their preconceptions.

StupidBrotherInLaw , (edited )

Damn son, you sure showed him! With a one-two punch of clever wording and masterful insight, you showed us all the level of wit and intellect anyone will have to deal with if they dare to... pull the ripcord@lemmy.world.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

He's not praising an ethnic cleansing. He elsewhere has claimed that the ethnic cleansing/concentration camp narrative is entirely western propaganda and isn't happening at all. Instead, it's some sort of... Incarceration, deradicalization, and rehabilitation program? Hell, I don't know.

Either way, he already does and says enough things to criticize, let's not make up more. It just makes us look just as dumb.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I've actually seen real tankie rhetoric on occasion, but tankie is becoming Lemmy.world's woke. It increasingly means something that certain people don't like.

The hysteria is mostly promulgated and perpetuated by a small number of people. It's just easy karma farming for some (PugJesus/Yeetpics) while others seem to actually have an issue with tankies and/or the bonkers censorship on lemmy.ml. If you block the former group and their alts, the amount of whining lessens significantly, mostly leaving people with honest issues with actual tankies.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

It's all so melodramatic. I'll take a jaunt into the comments sections of these posts once in awhile to see what the libs are clutching their pearls over now. Today we have:

Oh nooooo, a dev is a ban happy shithead! How unusual and extreme! Better raise the banner and gather the troops, the tankies are coming for us all! We must defederate and/or fork a parallel Lemmy because only tankies have weird ban happy power trips! This will solve all the issues!

On the bright side, block op and the surprisingly small number of the other more vocal tankie drama lords and it gets a lot quieter.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Lol, are you joking? You've got to be a troll, no one is this stupid.

'Confused' Judge Cannon needed concept explained 'slowly' to her in court by lawyers: NYT ( www.rawstory.com )

As part of an analysis of how U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Judge Aileen Cannon, reports from her courtroom show a judge who is both "prickly" and" insecure" and often has trouble understanding what lawyers from both sides try to explain to her....

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

If you think spewing mostly fabricated, irrelevant nonsense is dominating, then yes. They absolutely dominate.

Edit: ooof, that post history

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

And I threw up in my eating mouth!

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

When you have to fabricate points to make your point, you're just lying.

StupidBrotherInLaw , (edited )

That guy is totally a lunatic. I know you know this but wanted to let you know other people see it too. The only way they can support their argument is making things up to insult you over and to deflect from answering questions, like a child. What a sad person.

Edit: Just for giggles, I briefly looked at their post history. Just hours before, they were criticizing someone for doing exactly what they're doing here.

Edit 2: I briefly noted their hypocrisy on the other comment and their response was fabrication, exaggeration of that fabrication, all to deflect from my point that they're being hypocritical. You just can't make this shit up.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Six hours later: resorts to ad hominem attacks when he can't defend his argument. The hypocrisy is off the scales!

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Fabrication, exaggeration, and deflection, all in two sentences. Impressive but it seems you have a lot of practice.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Scorn? Derision? Lol.

I like to hear myself talk. Look how I explain myself like a Bond villain.

Now I'm going to make some more things up in response to a comment about how I make things up. Behold my lack of self awareness! Quail before my hypocrisy!

I'm blocking you because you're a predictable, boring hypocrite, one of those people whose point is "whatever makes me 'win', even if I contradict myself elsewhere to 'win' again". Feel free to have the last word for others but I won't see it.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Big whooosh here.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

This may be the most entitled, ignorant, bootstrapsy comment I've seen on here in awhile.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I'm not lecturing you as I don't really care if you change or not, so I'm not telling you how or why to change. What you did is lecturing, putting out your views as prescription. I'm just pointing out to others that you're painfully ignorant.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Blocking PugJesus and YeetPics (PugJesus's sock puppet alt), both from .world, will cut down on a mountain of whining about imaginary tankies.

Now that DuckDuckGo is out. Give me your search prompts and I'll answer them as best I can. That includes images (based on what I have saved on my PC). So what is it you wish to know or see?

Edit: Due to popular demand FatTony Search servers are down for the time being. but has gone open source just in time (Yes that's how it works 😡) . You may now get responses from other users. Servers will be back up some time later.

StupidBrotherInLaw , (edited )

Bro, I think you have a tanky kink. For every tanky I actually see, I swear I see five or more posts from you complaining about them.

Just admit it: you want to be dominated by tankies so your asshole can be nationalized for the good of the people.

Edit: I am joking!

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Given every time I've responded to PugJesus, you're giving me shit in short order, sock puppet account confirmed!

I was actually just joking but forgot my /s.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

I'm sure some tankies would oblige if you ask nicely.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

PJ just likes to start shit so they can argue with people.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

In this thread: many apes who demonstrate they have no idea what capitalism is.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

Quite the strawman you built yourself there.

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

This comment thread was a wild ride. I've never seen anyone cope this hard before. You know it's not a competition, right?

StupidBrotherInLaw ,

WarmSoda is just a contrarian. I've literally seen them argue two sides of an argument across different posts. I wouldn't recommend seriously engaging with them, but they're not very bright so it's funny to get them to contradict themselves or make comically bad arguments.
