Well for me personally it was two reasons. First was a lot of politically charged content. I don't want to see that stuff any more than I already am forced to, so I just block all of it normally, but on the ml servers it was tiring blocking so much so I just blocked the whole instance Second was the ml admin's handling of the anime community that used to be hosted there and is now hosted on ani.social. I honestly don't remember too much other than the admin claiming something along the lines of "all anime characaters are children" or something like that. I don't remember it exactly, but it was some mindless take that communicated "we don't want anything related to anime on our server."

AliExpress is either a scam or a great deal. There is no inbetween. I have been successful with clothing from them, and even an Xbox One wired controller that had both joysticks at the top like a WiiU Pro controller. I haven't been scammed yet, but I do know that it can happen.

Abyss looks cool but its so derivative with some of its elements, I would be afraid of legal trouble if I was the developer.

Obvious clones of elements from Kill la Kill, AKIRA, and Mega Man Legends, while also including some other stuff that looks like Metal Gear Solid and EVE Burst Error or Silent Mobius.

It would be very difficult to control a game like Fallout 1 with a conventional controller, but if you really need it you can use DOSBox, which has controller support. The Retroarch core is probably the easiest to use and setup, I am not sure about the standalone version, but it is probably similar.

If it doesn't clone assets of their game then Nintendo legally can't do anything. Gameplay elements are not protected like that.

Best way of playing Wipeout these days?

So...after watching latest Noclip video, I was having a bit of a Wipeout itch...I have a rather decent gaming computer, but I was wondering what would be the best way to play the wipeout series...was 2097 the best one? Is there a good way to get it running at decent resolution/effects these days?...

I am going to go out on a limb here and assume that by "Nazi" you mean people who are not politically left, but I will address it as if you meant actual Nazis.

I think anyone has the right to choose to believe whatever they want, even if that means they believe things that are undoubtedly wrong, such as Nazi beliefs. That of course does not absolve them of the consequences of laws they might violate. Certainly such a person would have the right to tell other people about what they believe, but this would be counterbalanced by other people having the right to just not listen to them. If someone else has the right to speak that doesn't mean you are required to listen to them, you could choose to just walk away entirely.

If you think about smoking a cigarette, I would imagine you would agree that smoking is very, very bad for your health. However, anyone that wants to has the right to smoke. But if they smoke in an area that is designated a "no smoking area," then they would be required to leave. Likewise if a person wants to believe Nazi ideals, as much as I personally believe that would be a very bad choice, they have the right to choose to be wrong. However, if they act upon their beliefs which leads to them breaking laws, then they should be held accountable for that. I am not an expert in Nazi beliefs or ideals, but I would imagine that them taking action on their beliefs would very likely break laws in pretty much every country. And rightfully so, people should not be allowed to just say one race is superior or the only one deserving of living and then actually take action on that. I may be wrong but I think it is illegal to have Nazi beliefs in Germany? In which case the law applies and if someone was provably holding such beliefs where it is indeed illegal, then they would absolutely deserve whatever the legal punishment is. To my knowledge, simply believing Nazi beliefs is not illegal in the USA. It might be racist and stupid, but not illegal.

Regardless of if it was worth it to you or not, they asked a question and I had the right to express my viewpoint on it. They don't have to listen, of course, its their right not to if they don't want to.

But personally I don't think the question was "bad faith" in comparison to other questions I have seen elsewhere on Lemmy or Reddit.

Well that's kinda my point. Even before you fire, if you weight the barrel like that then when you take it off you will naturally want to aim higher than necessary. By the time you add recoil, you aren't even close anymore.

Maybe, but not weights like these ones. It would probably make recoil more controllable at the cost of making aiming much more difficult. Usually you want to have lightweight parts to make aiming easier, and using your muscles and body to absorb and counteract the recoil.

I used to really like the Silent Hill Arcade shooter. It was a fun themed spinoff. That and Time Crisis 3.

No, because then information is locked behind walled gardens, plus the AI training material is still siphoned from them anyway. All it takes is one AI training user being added or one account being compromised.

I can only say allegedly mistreated Joe because it is former Bungie employee hearsay and not legally verified information. But still, after hearing that Jason Jones Frankenstein'd the Destiny that Joe wrote with his friend's fantasy project (I think it was called Minotaur), and basically took all the credit for Joes work, yeah I have been soured on Bungie.

The Dreadnaught on Saturn, from the Taken King expansion? That was originally planned content for the end game area of the initial release. Bungie really did cut up Destiny and sell it back later as DLC.

Honestly, 5.1 surround sound is worth waiting the extra like 2 seconds of the logo. The fact that the game only has mono or stereo sound output just because he didn't want to have a logo on the screen for a few seconds is not putting user experience over marketing.

It would honestly make more sense that Nintendo told him he couldn't add it because they didn't want to pay for it and this is how he justified it to himself.

    The reflection effect may have been broken by vertex displacement or animation, so thats probably why its flat as glass. Similar to how SEGA created the reflection effects in the original Panzer Dragoon, the effect would have broken if the water had any sort of displacement or animation to it.

    Not sure why there are no splash effects, maybe the developers just ran out of time to add it.

    The word perhaps, but the seal is identical in design, color, and function. I believe now it just says "Official Nintendo Seal" which doesnt much change the function except they can't be sued for licensing bad quality games I guess? Fits in with their anti-consumer theme though.
