After his arguments failed to convince bylaw officers, Ruck took his case to court. Legal precedent supports naturalised gardening in Ontario, where in 1996 a court ruled that Sandy Bell, a Toronto gardener, had the right to express her environmental beliefs through gardening, overturning a fine issued to her under the city’s weeds and grass bylaw.

But Ruck, who represented himself, lost his case on procedural grounds after arguing that the city had applied the bylaw unfairly and arbitrarily. Now on the hook for the municipality’s legal bills of $6,000 (£3,450), he has filed an appeal.

Anyone who thinks they are assholes for doing this to a monument should be thinking about what oil companies are doing to less visible areas that are just as important.

I can go through the dictionary all day. That's called activism my dude, and it was an excellent way to being attention to a particular issue they are campaigning for.

The act is self-evident in regards to their purpose lmao. They "painted" the environment (polluted it) in a way we could all relate to, in a effort raise awareness on other things happening in the environment that aren't as visible.

The issue with that argument is that with free energy, we can start properly applying concepts of UBI and dare I say it socialist policies and collapsing that part of the economy in a good way, globally.

Revealing it at a pace the world can handle just means that the people in control now can keep being in control while they find ways of controlling it. Yes it would wipe out a big part of our way of life, but it's the bad part anyway, the part that is pretty rapidly killing us. (Great performance by Mr.Freeman though)

    When comparing 2 candidates, genocide doesn't matter because they will both do it, you substract that from both side of the equation in US politics. Once a president is in office then you can protest decision, this is about comparing candidates.

    People are not calling you a Trump puppet because you criticise Biden. People are arguing with you because you think not voting is a solution that Democrats are actually affected by.
