I'm only half centaur

does that mean you are 3/4 human and 1/4 horse?

Or 1/4 human, 3/4 horse?

Or 1/4 human, 1/4 horse and 1/2 something else?

Does deleting an app after clearing data guarantee complete deletion on android ?

Basically the title I installed a game, played some, got bored and wanna delete it but then remembered that I used to have a tab long time ago and we'd mess with it by installing a ton of games , So at a point it got too hangy that we deleted every game but it still wouldn't work as good so we had to factory reset the thing...

I usually do this:

  1. Force Stop
  2. Clear Data (which also clears the cache)
  3. Uninstall

I'm always wondering if that's really necessary.

You basically did the same, so it's not like you could have done more anyway.

Edit: Just realised that if the app has file access permissions, then obviously it could modify/create files in that directory also. So if you really want to clear everything you might want to check this too.

The best would probably be to go as a group of colleagues and complain to the manager about Sarah. Tell the manager everything you wrote her.

But if the others don't want to do that, then something like that might work:

Have some (secret) friends eat at the restaurant on different nights and complain to the manager about Sarah specifically.

They shouldn't lie. But saying stuff like this might put the focus on the problem: "we waited for an hour for our food, meanwhile we saw this lady calmly smoke for 30 minutes"

You could also do the same as online reviews over some time span with a bunch of fake accounts.

Should I play before watching? I heard there are nice inside jokes, is that true? Which Game should I play, all?

I can live with artists having different views/believes/opinions, but when it comes to actions they did, then it's a different story for me.

E.g. I don't enjoy Rammstein anymore

The Hadean ended 4.031 billion years ago, so I would "earn" 1/4 Dollar (or whatever currency) per year?

Even with just waiting and not having to survive/eat during that time it would be a pretty bad deal...

I see, but why does it matter if they're not the same size? Personaly I like to be able to make different sizes depending on how much I 'm going to eat. Or when I'm on a trip/hike can decide to eat a small one first and later a larger one etc.

In Switzerland we even make sandwiches with slices of Zopf/Züpfe ("Braid"), with that you have to make sure to always use two adjacent slices, so that the outline matches 😅 Then it looks like this.

And trust me, Zopf (very subjectively) does not taste as good if it isn't braided xD

[Movie] Cowboys and Aliens - you know what you're getting as soon as you read the title ( lemmy.zip )

To be fair, I think the first half of this movie is great. There are a lot of long, slow shots which really feel reminiscent of a spaghetti western. But as it goes on, it eventually just turns into a mindless action movie with lots of quick cuts and as much CGI as they can fit on the screen. So yet another entry into the...

Any docker solution to control smart light bulb?

I own a couple TP-Link Tapo Wi-fi light bulbs. Currently, each family member installs an app on the phone to control the light bulbs. I wonder if there's a way to do the same but in a browser (via docker app on my NAS). And because we may use smart devices of other brands in the future, it seems too much trouble to install yet...

What do you think about the Gemini protocol?

For those, who do not know what the Gemini protocol is, think of it as a modern, light-weight HTTP alternative without CSS or JavaScript. In layman term, you could see it as Web 1.0 reinvented. It uses GemText instead of HTML. For folks who want to try it out, you can either install a Gemini extension for your HTTPs browser...

Detecting whether an accu is full isn't just reading out a percentage, it's comparing the voltage levels. Some products do that poorly, I've noticed that especially for sex toys. Even if they aren't cheap themselves they might be cheaply produced. I've taken apart some toys and found some bad soldering and overall bad quality sadly.

So you're device might already be charged fully, but the status LED misleading. You could try if it actually runs longer than when you only charge it for 3h. I think normally it shouldn't take longer than half a day to charge any device (larger devices will charge with more current but have more capacity to fill etc). Usually just 1-2h.

The other thing that might be the case is that the connection (is it one of those waterproof magnetic ones?) is not optimal and only allows very little current to flow. In that case it might actually take that long and there is not much you can do other that keeping the contacts clean.

Help with a player that likes the idea of being a caster, but not the mechanics

I've been a DM for about 3 years, and have predominantly run one-shots and short campaigns in DnD5e and PF2e. I have a player who persistently builds primary caster based characters, but then won't do anything in combat but "I stab it with my dagger." They rarely use cantrips, and basically won't cast a leveled spell unless I...

Is the player choosing a caster for "cosmetic" reasons, or because they don't know better (like recycling the last character sheet)?

If the first, then maybe they could play a character who disguises as caster, or something along the lines.

If it's the latter, then they would probably appreciate it if you helped them create a new character from scratch together.

Hook (29% TomatoMeter).

But it was released in 1991, so it wouldn't count for the XKCD version. Also the audience score is 76%, so not really an unpopular opinion I guess.
