Heidi Siegmund Cuda reminds us of that other time Nigel Farage got caught doing Putin's dirty work, working with the Russian-funded "Calexit" project and "Putin's favorite Congressman" Dana Rohrabacher to divide California.
UK elections are on Thursday, and in a few months, Nigel Farage has raised his Reform party from 6 to now 17 percent.
Yep… that Farage, who promised UK voters a land of milk and honey, if they voted for his Brexit. And now that Brexit has proven to be a ticket to economic disaster and endless bureaucracy, Farage is telling the Brits, that its all the immigrants’ fault.
17 percent have fallen for this conman.
It is a mystery, how humans could ever become the dominant species on this planet.
@randahl Right wing has governed for ~ 38 of the last 50 years, cutting education spending at every opportunity & selling off school grounds to property #grifters.
In other news, the majority of Britons prefer to read the tabloid press that only recently stopped printing full page photos of half-naked young women on page 3.
Couple this with weaponised Facebook ads and we have the return of fascism.
"Nigel Farage is outperforming all other parties and candidates on TikTok throughout the general election campaign, analysis shows, eclipsing politicians considered most popular among young people. …
Reform has recently decided to target younger voters as part of its campaign, with Farage appearing on podcasts aimed at young men and creating videos showing him mouthing Eminem lyrics."
As Esther Addley reports, Clacton in Essex, England, is 95.3% white. It has few immigrants.
Yet Nigel Farage's immigrant-baiting is having enormous influence on the aging, economically stagnant, almost entirely white population of Clacton, which is willing to believe that someone else — specifically, immigrants — is responsible for every problem imaginable.
Immigrant-bashing works. Lots of us want a scapegoat to blame our ills on.

Sad times for U.K. politician Nigel Farage, who had a milkshake chucked in his face earlier this week. The Trump pal and anti-EU activist isn’t the first person to be pelted in the name of politics.
@TheConversationUS looks at other notable figures, from Roman emperor Vespasian to George W. Bush, who’ve drawn the ire of dissatisfied citizens.
How come #NigelFarage gets to turn up out of nowhere and decree that this is now “the immigration election”‽
Ordinary voter here, and I don’t give a tinker’s toss about #immigration. I’d much prefer this to be “the climate change election”, please. If you agree, give this a RT. ♻️
The classified documents case will make use of a recording which indicates that #Trump had a highly sensitive document which he knew was NOT declassified.
The chain of evidence looks strong and while there is much news media spinning, a court of law is more rigorous environment where focus on fact is primary
