Trump said that J.D. Vance was “best suited” [ridiculous] to be vice president. He referenced Vance’s time in the marine corps, his book “Hillbilly Elegy” & his career in tech & finance. Mr. Vance, he said, “championed the hardworking men & women” of America & would continue to do so on the trail.
#JDVance, who has said he thinks #abortion should be #banned after 15 weeks, said states should be able to decide on #AbortionBans & “some minimum national standard is fine with me.” — meaning a national #AbortionBan
#JDVance proposed a bill that would make #gender-affirming care for minors a federal #felony & block taxpayer funds from being used for it, saying in a statement, "Under no circumstances should doctors be allowed to perform these gruesome, irreversible operations on underage children."

He agreed w/a conservative radio talk show host who said he didn’t think there wasn’t a #ClimateCrisis.
“No, I don’t think there is, either,” Vance said on the show. “And even if there was a climate crisis, I don’t know how the way to solve it is to buy more Chinese-manufactured electric vehicles. The whole EV thing is a scam, right?”

Yes #JDVance’s wife, Usha Chilukuri Vance, is Indian-American. I guess it’s just the #SameSexMarriage part of the Respect for Marriage Act or he’s yet another Republican who believes in “laws for thee but not for me”

He is a clever villain, maintaining his antiabortion credentials while not really affecting the rate of legal abortions. 91% of abortions occur in the first trimester. The very small percentage of abortions after 15 weeks are mainly for preservation of mom’s health / life

I could certainly see a reverse tidal shift away from the MAGA vote due to this....and the press and Biden-Harris haven't even started on him yet....this feels quite helpful for Dems?
