#SCOTUS could decide cases related to #Trump, #abortions & more

The #SupremeCourt will return to the bench starting at 10 a.m. Friday to release its next round of 2024 decisions, with about a dozen major rulings expected over the next week or so. The justices do not say in advance which opinions will be released

1/... The only hot take I've seen is from Joyce Vance saying this would push the trial past the election. That seems pretty rational to me.

But hopefully, the outcome will be ok

@GottaLaff Unfortunately it seems the one thing Trump is good at is playing the legal system. While he definitely should stand trial, I think it the cards were stacked against him actually having to stand trial before the election.

Our only way of keeping a fascist out of the White House is to not elect a fascist to the White House. Apparently the rule of law no longer exists for anything but us peasants.

My guess: may have someone like co-signing Chubb bond, so the bank is comfortable being on the hook for the judgment. Same could happen for the bond for AG $450M judgment. & this strategy wd allow co-signor to say truthfully that they did not give or loan Trump any $

Joyce Vance:

This=important pt. Trump is beholden to someone & we don't know who. Reporters shd ask him to explain all of the details. GOP leaders shd, but probably won't be esp concerned.
