SatyrSack ,

AI

VanHalbgott OP ,

The rise of other beverages in the country.

Like coffee and sodas.

rah ,

What rise?

funkless_eck , in Anyone eat cheese and crackers regularly?

No love for the God tier hovis biscuit?

Hossenfeffer , in Anyone eat cheese and crackers regularly?
@Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk avatar

Yup. Carrs or Jacob’s or oatcakes with any decent cheese is a good snack.

Hossenfeffer ,
@Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk avatar

To add: this is what I had for lunch today: Jacob's cream crackers, Nairn's oatcakes, Double Gloucester and Lancashire Blacksticks Blue - served with celery, pickled shallots, and a nice red apple.

Yes, big fan of Carr's Table Water Biscuits and a bit of blue.

Oh and also with a bit of Lurpak for a wee treat.

I know this will piss off british ppl but the brits dont drink tea. They drink warm (not hot, warm) milk with a flavor of tea (from a bag btw).

Well that's a good way to get Brits riled up. Next, you'll be saying that biscuits are French. 😱

HumanPenguin , in Does anyone still drink tea in the UK?
@HumanPenguin@feddit.uk avatar

The UK still imports £223m in tea a year. It has gone down since COVID. £271m.

But yes tea is still a very popular drink in the UK.

Syltti , in What's your go to lunch during the week?

A Ghost energy drink.

blackn1ght OP ,

Is it better than pussy?

Syltti ,

That is fucking brilliant, and OF COURSE it's British! Sadly, I live in the States. I highly doubt I could get my hands on this here.

I like OG Tabasco on eggs rather than siracha.

But otherwise, the beauty of working from home is that lunch can be pretty varied. That said, if I can find some decent tomatoes then nothing much beats a really good BLT. Mmmm.

Emperor , in What's your go to lunch during the week?

I usually grab a couple of falafel and a small handful of nuts. I have recently thrown a few grapes into the mix. Which, when typed out, does suggest my life is just a series of double entendres.

Hossenfeffer ,
@Hossenfeffer@feddit.uk avatar

Bet that's quite the mouthful! Bet that fills you up! Maybe add some nice plums?

Emperor ,
@Emperor@feddit.uk avatar

Plums and a sausage!

KillerTofu , in What's your go to lunch during the week?

When I make dinner I always plan an extra portion for lunch.

If not that, then a lunch of snacks. Crackers, cheese, some fruit.

Diplomjodler3 , in What's your go to lunch during the week?

I go to whatever has the shortest queue in the dining hall.
