I interpreted it more as (like the title implies) Jack's inherent racism. Due to the type of company he usually surrounds himself with, the only time he ever hears the term "Puerto Rican" is in a negative context, in which someone is using the term as a way to insult someone or complain or something. Jack does not have a diverse enough friend circle to actually have ever heard someone use the term "Puerto Rican" to refer to someone's ethnicity without making some sort of judgement on the person.

The options that you see there are not dependent on your keyboard though. Change your keyboard to something else, and you still see the same options when long pressing a text field.

Introducing a new RISC-V Mainboard from DeepComputing ( frame.work )

We’re excited to share a preview of a Framework Laptop 13 Mainboard with a new CPU architecture today, and it’s probably not the one you think it is. The team at DeepComputing has built the first ever partner-developed Mainboard, and it uses a RISC-V processor! This is a huge milestone both for expanding the breadth of the...

The man appears to have pointed feet. I repeat: he has pointed feet, so be careful now!

Is it expected to rise in price or something? It is not on sale now, and is currently more expensive than the original ever was.

Direct link to article:

https://news.itsfoss.com/mastodon-link-problem/

TL;DR:

When you share a link on Mastodon, a link preview is generated for it, right?

With Mastodon being a federated platform (a part of the Fediverse), the request to generate a link preview is not generated by just one Mastodon instance. There are many instances connected to it who also initiate requests for the content almost immediately.

And, this "fediverse effect" increases the load on the website's server in a big way.

Does Lemmy not cause this issue? Other federated software was not mentioned in the article at all.

Seinfeld slams woke student audiences: “Back when I dated high school girls, they found me hilarious!” ( www.thebeaverton.com )

HOLLYWOOD – With his Netflix comedy film Unfrosted debuting to abysmal reviews, 70-year-old comedian Jerry Seinfeld blames the failure on “extreme left, and PC college campus audiences”, unlike in his heyday, when the teenage girls he dated were fans of his comedy.

Did you know the British airing of MASH didn't have a laugh track cause the brits find it weird

Interesting, as IT Crowd is one of the very few British comedies I have ever seen, and it has a laugh track.

Are you using fractional scaling? I had similar issues with LMDE (not with Brave, though), and switching to 200% solved it.

Lemmyverse historical data? ( data.lemmyverse.net )

I am interested in checking out the historical growth of a particular community. Lemmy Explorer crawls for data about the Lemmyverse every 24 hours or something, and that data is made available on their website. But I can only find where to download the latest data. Is there somewhere that I can find historical data? Does Lemmy...

SatyrSack OP ,

I was hoping for more than just that, but any data you have on !chevron7 would be appreciated!

SatyrSack OP ,
