Too many downvotes . The new post does not state that it was given to their son for free.

I was amazed that there is no limit to how many pardons a president van issue (let alone take money for it) but now I learn that Governors can pardon too?

How can people accept this in a civilized wold?

cosmicrookie ,
@cosmicrookie@lemmy.world avatar

And people are ok with that?

The future of search engines will be forums where we create topics stating our search criteria and real people post results.

My point is, that most other companies would have shut down after all these incidents instead of "still trending downwards"

cosmicrookie ,

To me, it seems like these events are way beyond common. A single accident (even catastrophic) would be acceptable. What is going on at Boeing, seems to be way beyond acceptable!

It's funny that people think of Orthodox Jews as some kind of "Super Jew".

Some of the most hardcore Orthodox Jews don't even recognize Israel as a state!

... they perceive Zionism and the establishment of the State of Israel as an anti-messianic act, conceived and born from sin

It just feels like preaching to the priests

Driving in Japan ( jemmy.jeena.net )

Driving in Japan with the wheel on the right side. The first time I did that last year I drove on the wrong side of the road about 5 times and got a shock every time when I saw all the ghost drivers just to quickly realize that it's me who is driving the wrong way. This year it only happened one time, so my brain seems to adapt...

I haven't tried it myself but id believe that for me the greatest challenge would be the gear shift with the left hand!

So.. if the alternative is no power, people will change over to solar power.

Why have the huge energy companies that make massive profits then?

Give the energy back to the people!

The garbagemen did not come back looking for me every week. They just came to pickup the garbage and not to take me away.

That's some great police work right there...

15 policecars burned this Thursday. Our investigators have concluded that this is not normal or natural so someone is behind this!

Keurig's new K-Rounds coffee pods are plastic-free and could finally make single-serve coffee-making sustainable ( www.techradar.com )

This is quite exciting in that it removes plastic waste. I see no reason why different companies can't make different shape ones to maintain their lock-in. I expect a knock-off market to pop-up, but that exists with plastic pods too. It's a step in the right direction at least.

Coffee will never be sustainable. We will all keep drinking it but this is just a feel good movement of making something slightly less bad than it used to be.
