I assume that the war objectives were to remove nazism from Ukraine right?
They can basically confirm that it is "no longer an issue" and leave without losing face. But I guess Russians want to be fooled

I wouldn't mind being as broken as trump. I'd bet you anything that no matter how broke he is, he'll have cars, a big home to live in, great food everyday, travel the world and not wory about paying rent or for heating.

Rich people broke is not regular broke. The term is subjective

The way I see it, if the Americans end up picking a president who ranked among the bottom 5 presidents of all times, it's their own fault for doing so and they should enjoy the consequences of that.

It's a fair point but I think the world is getting better at and more prepared to do so. The rest of the world can easily ignore 300mil people. We do it with many others. It's the fact that it's the US that makes it harder to ignore. IMO Trump was the trigger that inspired countries ans allies to cut or limit dependencies on single countries like the US, China and Russia.

This seems to mainly only be an issue in the US. Socialism = Communism = Enemy

If at all anything, the opposite seems to be the case here. We're looking at the US as a "this is how bad it will get if we let go" example

Sure I live in a Scandinavian country where I pay 40% tax + 8% labor market contribution and maybe $150 a month to my union. but I have only 1 job that needs no education, live in a rented house with 3 bedrooms, big garden, we have 1 small car and have not only access but the right to free Medicaid, free education, 5 weeks paid vacation, 24 weeks paid maternity leave and pay while sick plus pension and health insurance that kicks in if the free Medicaid for any reason is mayne too slow or not good enough.

We did have to move out of the city though (1min drive to closest large city but the helps anyone with transportation expenses if they are more than a certain distance)

Politicians have recently argued that they need to import more workforce because we need more workers especially in elder care.

If you are willing to work half as much as you do now you can have a great life in Europe.

On lemmy everyone acts like reddit is dying and only the worst part is still there. and on reddit they are saying lemmy didn't catch on and reddit's worst part are here so reddit is now better .

I personelly think lemmy users doesn't just have that reddit feel where if you referenced something most people will get it or when you say something everyone will say the same thing and fill the thread .and people on lemmy seems to think they are absolutely right....

Do you know of an easy way to add sites to the exception list? I really like how easy itnia to "fireproof" sites with a press of a button but in Firefox it takes quite a lot more.
