Can't tell if you're being facetious or not, but I do hate when they show an artist's rendering as clickbait because the actual photo is super blurry.

Reminds me of how some people got a bunch of fake research papers published to prove how flawed the system is. And they would have gotten still more published but the WSJ caught on and they were exposed.

That he is! He's a constant source of fluff despite the almost-daily brushing.

27, wow! We would love that.

More pets will be bestowed in your name. 😁

Murphy is indoor-only but we sometimes take him outside on a leash. We recently moved into a house with a backyard that opens into a forest, and we were hoping to eventually let him out on his own, but we saw a young black bear wandering around last week and there are birds of prey in the skies, so he'll have to stay inside or with us all the time.

We've only had him 19 years. We're guessing he was around 1 when we first adopted him. Here is the first pic we have of him which might have been a few days after adoption. It was taken on May 25, 2005.

Maybe I should change the 20+ to 20ish in the title.

Another "already dead" anecdote:

I was commuting home from school when my ride drove past the immediate aftermath of an accident where a guy was run over by a bus. The tire has had gone over his head and there was brain matter splattered on the road. The thing I remember most is that the pulp-y remnants of his head had tire tread marks on it.

I asked a buddy of mine, if he could recommend only one movie from either Marvel or DC for me to watch, which one would it be? He said GotG. I watched it and loved it, bought the video game, made my husband watch it, who also loved it.

I worked at a garden center for a couple of years and I always recommended terra cotta to our customers, for both indoor and outdoor plants.

Terra cotta breathes well and helps counteract overwatering, which is the #1 killer of houseplants.

For plants outside, plastic pots, especially the black ones, tend to get really hot in the sun, essentially baking the roots of the plant.

What is it about the text messages and emails sent by older people that make me feel like I'm having a stroke?

Maybe they're used to various shortcuts in their writing that they picked up before autocorrect became common, but these habits are too idiosyncratic for autocorrect to handle properly. However, that doesn't explain the emails I've had to decipher that were typed on desktop keyboards. Has anyone else younger than 45 or so felt similarly frustrated with geriatrics' messages?

For me it's Christopher Walken.

I've used Fax.Plus several times with no issues, though not in at least a couple of years. Also used eFax a ton back in the day.

Can't pick a single favorite but yours made me think of one of my favorites that's a guitar piece: Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson.

I think whether or not they litter and whether or not they return the shopping cart are two good ways to judge someone's character.

I'm unemployed at the moment but my last two jobs I worked with plants -- caring for and watering them -- so waterproof boots or sneakers, moisture-wicking cargo or hiking pants/shorts, and a company shirt. If it's cold, I layer a long-sleeved thermal shirt underneath. If it's freezing, a warmer top with the company apron over everything.

My first serious boyfriend taught me how to change the oil, change a tire, and rotate the tires on my car. Also that I don't like anal.

Bahaha! Yeah, when he whipped out that 4-way tire iron...

Most unique looking celebrities?

I'm working on a side project studying variations in human facial features. It's been helpful to study celebrity faces because it's easy to find numerous reference photos. I've actually got a fairly good range of weird looking white men, turns out Hollywood is pretty flush with those, but it's been harder to find unique looking...

Your pic isn't loading for me, which makes me sad. But Calcifer reminds me of our boy who we joked could smell his mommy's tears. When my husband and I raised voices at each other, Sir Kitty ('03-'20) would come and yell at us, get on my lap, and get up in my face until we stopped to pet him, which seemed to be the only thing that would calm him.

Murphy is 20 years old and is deaf now, but still jumps up onto my lap and occasionally chases after strings. They told us he was found in a storm drain. He has been with us through 4 moves, the last time being just a week ago where he survived a 17-hour drive in a cramped car and pooping in a moving vehicle. He is a survivor and a sweetheart.

He loves rump smacks (cat bongos) and this rug. He especially loves rump smacks while on this rug.

Sir Kitty would sometimes appear "lost in thought" while lying on his back. The first time I saw him like this, I was seriously worried he was no longer alive because he wasn't moving and wouldn't respond to me calling to him.

I have a senior cat who needs a pill every day. He's on a restricted diet for chronic kidney disease so I avoid giving him treats. What I do is give him the pill by putting it down his throat right before feeding him, so the food itself is the treat. He's super used to the process now.

For a crunchy snack: Trader Joe's Crunchy Curls

For a more filling snack: Trader Joe's super bread, toasted, with a smear of pesto and a lightly scrambled egg on top

I just saw pumpkin seeds outside the loaf and snagged it. But I googled it and found these:

I don't recall the shoulder blade hurting too much. I feel like the areas around the edges are what hurt more because the skin is more delicate in those areas. Overall it really wasn't bad, but I do think the coloring hurt more than the black parts, but I don't know if that's just from me getting used to it physically and mentally.
