    Well, another beekeeper totally screwed up a swarm capture at our local elementary school. The vacuumed up the bees instead of boxing them up and waiting until evening. Thus leaving half the swarm wondering where the queen went, and not solving the problem at all. I was called by one of the teachers... nothing I could do. Although most of the bees crawled into my bag of bee gear and I took them home. #beekeeping #failure

    Bit of a nit, but important. He is not charged with taking NDI docs. He is charged with unlawful retention of NDI docs after the appropriate authorities asked for their return, and hiding them from investigators and conspiracy to do same. This choice of charges let the SC sidestep a lot of unsettled law around just when he removed them from the white house and whether it is illegal for a former president to continue to possess those docs post-presidency. But it did lock the case into florida judge.

    Q of verbal-only jury instructions: Roger Parloff shared 1 school of thought he heard from judge he clerked for, that if you give jury a copy of instructions, they may home in on one phrase out of context & give it too much weight..sort of a missing the forest for the trees idea. That's just 1 theory, & various judges differ on the practice.

    Yes, and the judge (and us spectators) appreciate the hints as to what's going on in the jury room. Since they're now posted online, I wonder if the jurors are permitted to review them evenings and weekends. It seems counterproductive to force the jurors to be the most poorly informed of all interested parties.

    Hey, at least he stopped badmouthing the jury and court personnel. His attorneys must have explained his release on on recognizance is very revocable on the judge's whim, and IIRC brevocation is not appealable.
