Today is Juneteenth, and to celebrate I would like to speak directly to all White folks.

Slavery is not gone. The memory of slavery is still alive and well in whole communities of folks, likely ones you are not a part of.

We must keep working to abolish slavery in all it's forms. For profit prisons is a start, but biased policing that feeds that system and economic pressures that push folks of color down must be fought against.

    @alice I remember when the medeco the first came out. There was a bypass using tinfoil and custom key that was really tricky to pull off, but no one was picking them.

    @alice @LockEx I was a locksmith for about 4 years around college time. I sucked at picking and car lockouts. But I was really good at repairing fixing and installing locks. So I got to do most of the in shop work while my boss did the road calls. I really enjoyed it.

    I'm going to be making some 3d printable designs for runes and was wondering if there was already a system.

    I'm thinking of something along the lines of using runes to get a result maybe instead of rolling dice?

    As someone who uses "folks" a lot because I grew up in a hick Alberta village of 600 people (named "Mannville", no less), I love the fact it's been widely adopted as inclusive language.

    Not least because that usage would've irritated a notable chunk of said hick village back in the day.

For reference, my favorite series is the Expanse, I also enjoyed Scalzi's Collapsing Empire, I love Robert Charles Wilson's books.     @lonelyboy1977 @bookstodon The best use of Audiobooks I've found so far, is to listen to books you read a long time ago on, on a long commute to work.

    I couldn't pay attention enough to a new book (ADHD), but having an a book I read previously playing keeps me from going crazy in slow traffic, plus I often catch stuff I missed before. But if I space out on the book, it's ok, I read it before.

    Currently have the whole Neuromancer series playing in the car on my twice a week drive to work.
