But..
We also know from the record that Trump told Kevin McCarthy an hour later (~2:30pm) that antifa caused what was happening at the Capitol.
@GottaLaff I think that the guys relaying the story to Ms Hutchinson embellished it so that Trump could tell MAGATs that he was doing everything possible to join them at the Capitol. I think That story was all for show.

It makes sense that this was a story told TO Hutchinson, by a couple of blowhard secret service guys. She testified that she was TOLD this, not that she witnessed it. It does nothing to deny the narrative that he wanted to go to the Capitol or discredit her testimony.
His observed behavior on returning to WH was pouty, belligerent, a toddler deprived of his getting to go see violence he provoked in person.

His words carried a lot of meaning (regardless of how worthless we may think the meanings were). We know how he bullies and intimidates.
If he was noticeably "irritable" or "distressed/disturbed", his "requests" (polite or not) would have been interpreted by any sane individual as "ORDERS".
Whether he "lunged" or not, I believe is irrelevant. it's just as offensive

There's a huge difference between lunging toward the steering wheel and actually grabbing it. Regardless, this was a minor aspect of the testimony, especially because it was second hand. What is NOT in dispute is that Trump wanted, demanded, to be taken to the Capitol.

Guess I should've read the replies first. Just a knee-jerk, pissed off reaction to the stupidity of those trying to make this out as something that somehow negates everything else.
@GottaLaff@Wileymiller does it, though? Does that creature bend enough in the middle to qualify for an actual lunge? Is this more a question of physics and definitions? I think it’s more that the driver got paid to introduce doubt.
