Can you name a prominent right wing Atheist

Having to score strangers on their 'empathy' and 'courtesy' and 'knowledge' (anything less than a 5 star is a 'bad grade', I am sure) ( lemmy.world )

by that i mean, those are intangible, effervescent parts of a human being that should not be quantized down to a fucking amazon star system. the 'anything less than 5 stars is actually bad' thing is disgusting as well - all modern companies do this.

This is a customer service form, it might not have much to do with buying a physical product, the point the other commenter was making is KPIs (ratings based on client feedback and other factors like handle time) are extremely common in customer service roles and phone support roles for many types of companies, pointing to a industry standard as a reason to drop Amazon is a silly reason because then to be consistent you would need to drop basically any other company with a phone or chat support option, because they basically all have surveys and directly rate the support person based off of those survey repsoness, usually in a way that is "anything less then 5 stars is bad"

Not to argue too heavily with your valid life experience, but I was one of the few in my friend group who did not go to college, yet I am doing somewhat what I want to do (tech related) while my friends do nothing related to their degree and make less :/

On the flipside, my wife and I go to eatery-style movie theaters and the chairs are very comfortable, the food is expensive (but so was just candy/popcorn+drink combos of the past) and generally the food is actually good. Maybe just need to find a better theater for you to enjoy the movie going experience.

We also rarely ever go on an opening night, much nicer when the theater has less people in it.

OP isn't making it up, but they constantly make or repost memes about tankies and are seemingly blowing it out of proportion, as I mentioned in another thread (and was down voted) people are throwing it around way too much on lemmy.

See all the top level comments like "all the tankies coming out of the wood work! Must have struck a nerve!" when in reality there are legit arguments to be had around these things, but no, question Biden or the DNC and you're clearly just a tankie on russia/china/whatever payroll. Doesn't matter if it's a valid point of concern or strategy, fall in line or you're the enemy. Literally.

Yes I'm trolling a bit, one could argue a modern smart phone and the first cell phones are a bad comparison because they "aren't used for the same thing" but that's just needlessly pedantic.

In this case, I do think it's fair to point out a crossover/suv being compared to a sedan is different enough to be a bad comparison, it's not "Apples to Oranges" (why can't fruit be compared?) but it is intentionally misleading for comparing cars of the same type when they're not the same type and pointing at the size difference.

Exactly this, even in Foss we see a similar issue wherein large corporations can use the programs but provide no return value to the project itself.

Taxes are supposed to be a way to get rich people and corporations to pay their fair share, unfortunately in the US at least, regulatory capture, lobbying and propaganda has made it so that the scales are so extremely tipped in the rich and Corp favor that it's in no way a fair system at present.
