I remember when I was around 12 or 13 I'd always say my wish would be to get 1 billion dollars per second, for the rest of my life, and that no one, including the government, would ever be suspicious of it

Só did I. Two stars for book one, couldn't even rate book 2, DNF book 3 and never touched it again.
It actually made me second guess other books. "If you like TWoT you'll love X" always make me think twice about reading something

You are going to be trapped in a room for 12 hours with a mid 2000s office desktop with no internet connection and an external hard drive; what are you putting on the hard drive?

I've got some DOOM WADs I have been meaning to play so I would probably grab Trench Foot, Total Chaos, and the sequel to Ashes 2063, Ashes: Afterglow with a portable install of GZDoom to play them....

It really depends. I'm not from US, so ebooks and regular books tend to have very similar prices, no idea why. I can get a regular book for 40 bucks and the ebook will be 30. No great. So I useually pirate all Ebooks I have and if I really like it, buy a paper copy of it. I really like to collect books, so there's that. Graphic novels, on the other hand, are exclusively physical, I'll only read a few chapters to see if I like the story, in case I've never heard of it, and buy the real one

Whats the purpose for usernames on signal?

Been using signal for years and love it and got the majority of my contacts on to it. My question is how are usernames useful now? You still need to register with a phone number with signal to limit spam and bots afaik and I'm assuming you should protect your username just like you do your phone number anyways because spam,...

I usually just stop reading it. My problem is with books I'm liking, but not vibing with at the moment. I used to keep going, but realized that by doing this I'd give it "bad review" because I wasn't feeling it at the time. Now I just put it aside and come back later. Even if many months or years later
