Just run a cron job updating your IP every 24 hours. All I've ever done for the last decade or so.

I should clarify, I use namecheap as my registrar and Afraid as my nameserver. Afraid has curl, cron and even just a url i think you can use to update your IP.

Here's the thing. I'm better off than i was last year. And the year before and the year before that. With that said, 2023-2024 was less of an improvement than any of the last 5 years or so because of cost of living. So am i better off than last year? Sure. An i concerned that's only gonna last another year or so? Very.

There will be people in here who will downvote and explain how my anecdotal experience/sample size of 1 does not invalidate all the "research" and at the same time expect you to invalidate your entire situation because the research says blah blah blah.

It honestly didn't look good to me in 1999 when RIT was hitting 40k and i only had to pay half the cost. Can you imagine now? Absolutely nothing has been done to actually solve student loans, just a politicized and heavily obstructed attempt to relieve some debt. And now we've hiked the rates up to damn near double digits and said go get em kids! It's like the 80s all over again except someone added two zeros to the price of everything.

I just worry that, as always, we the customers will bear brunt of this. Cheap EVs flooding the market is what American car companies deserve but if it's all garbage wish . Com versions of Teslas then American consumers don't deserve to have yet another disposable commodity forced on them. If the course of action follows we'll have shit overpriced EVs and almost no real selection.
