I'm not a "Linux Guy" really but I started re-evaluating it lately, and I think it might not just be for the Tech Weirdos anymore. It can absolutely be a daily driver for a lot of game developers now!

Brackeys was one of the most valued educational creators for Unity game engine.
He retired after the Unity Runtime Fee happened and broke all trust with the company's management.

Today, 2 hours ago Brackeys has published his first Godot tutorial...

After a few years of silence, I want to share two current screenshots of my long time work-in-progress C64-styled RPG "Albareth".
It's going to be a party-based roguelike skirmish battler, in which you free procedurally generated islands from evil. I use Unity for development, because I'm not skilled enough to program on a real C64. Please expect no release in the near future. :)

Screenshot of a partly explored world map. The yellow arrow denotes the position of the party (currently in the village). On the edge of the explored area you can spot two dungeons waiting to be explored.

During the historic gathering of 3 #UnitedStates presidents last night, pro- #Palestinian protesters interrupted the event. Again, instead of ignoring their protestations, the presidents addressed the concerns.

All 3 men remarked on the #Israel #Hamas #war in #Gaza, reflecting on the difficulty of trying to solve intractable challenges such as #MiddleEast #peace as #POTUS. #Biden said there have been “too many innocent victims, Israeli & Palestinian,” in the conflict.

Survey of 130,000 people in 125 countries shows: 89% would like their governments to do more to tackle global warming. In 119 of 125 countries, more than a two-thirds majority would.
But they systematically underestimate the willingness of their fellow citizens to act.

Thank you. I found that for some reason the linked popular article wasn't particularly clear on the main point.

As this diagram from the original research article shows, there is a gap between actual proportions willing to contribute vs perceived proportions that widens for higher actual numbers willing.

These data illustrate very well the importance of working on our perceptions of connection with each other:

Mr. Biden is the same age as Harrison Ford, Paul McCartney and Martin Scorsese. He’s also a bit younger than Jane Fonda (86) and a lot younger than the Berkshire Hathaway C.E.O., Warren Buffett (93). All these individuals are considered to be at the top of their professions, and yet I would not be surprised if they are more forgetful and absent-minded than when they were younger. In other words, an individual’s age does not say anything definitive about the person’s cognitive status or where it will head in the near future. — Dr Charan Ranganath

autotldr Bot , to World News in How a Game of Good Cop-Bad Cop Sealed the E.U. Ukraine Fund Deal

This is the best summary I could come up with:

European Union leaders on Thursday reached an agreement to create a 50 billion euro fund for Ukraine, bringing on board Prime Minister Viktor Orban of Hungary, who was the primary obstacle to a deal.

All 27 leaders agreed on an additional €50 billion support package for Ukraine within the EU budget,” the president of the European Council, Charles Michel, said on social media just an hour into the meeting.

EU is taking leadership & responsibility in support for Ukraine; we know what is at stake.”

What, if anything, Mr. Orban received in exchange for giving up his veto for the fund, valued at about $54 billion, was not immediately clear.

He had been demanding an annual chance to veto the disbursement of money to Ukraine, but that was rejected.

leaders agreed to a regular review of the way the money was being spent, to assuage concerns about diversion or corruption, E.U.
