What should I watch tonight? I finished rewatching season 3 of Evil and don't want to start the final season until all episodes are available.
I need suggestions of what to watch while I'm waiting. Tell me something good! @horror I have Netflix, Hulu, Prime, Paramount and Shudder. #whattostream #tv#movies#tvseries#tellmesomethinggood

#OnThisDay, June 9, 1954 was the turning point for Senator Joseph McCarthy's anti-Communist crusade, when Army counsel Joseph Welch asked him, “Have you no sense of decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?” (depicted in Tail Gunner Joe, 1977)
Sony Will Use AI to Cut Film Costs, Says CEO Tony Vinciquerra
"“We are very focused on AI. The biggest problem with making films today is the expense,” Vinciquerra said at Sony’s Thursday (Friday in Japan) investor event. “We will be looking at ways to…produce both films for theaters and television in a more efficient way, using AI primarily.”"
From today until June 19 you can watch 23 Japanese films and 2 TV dramas for free online at the Japanese Film Festival 2024 in 27 countries. There is drama, comedy, romance, LGBTQ+, classics, SF and a new talents horror film competition.
I could need a bit of help regarding an old US movie which I cannot remember the title of.
It is a about a couple, probably set in the 1950s and black and white, which goes on their honeymoon in the US with a caravan. Everything goes wrong and I remember that at one point, the caravan comes off from the car and roles down a hill, I think with the bride still inside.
Okay so the explanation for "Under the Silver Lake" was so obvious (I thought) that I was waiting for the reveal, and then it never came, and then I looked up explanations online, and they also didn't arrive at the same explanation. So with significant spoilers in mind, here is my theory:...
#OnThisDay, May 29, 1953, mountaineers Edmund Hillary and Sherpa Tenzing Norgay became the first climbers confirmed to have reached the 29,035-foot summit of Mount Everest (depicted in Hillary, "Everest" s01e03, 2018)
if you enjoyed 'Shōgun' the 1st 3 'Shinobi' films may be of interest as they effectively function as a prequel + lots of ninja trickery: walking on water, flaming shuriken, climbing claws, sleeping gases, poisons, flash bombs, tatami mats...
my #film#review of the new Radiance #Bluray box set of 'Shinobi parts 1, 2, & 3' (1962–63) is published in Frame Rated:
#OnThisDay, May 28, 1863, the all-Black 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry Regiment left Boston with fanfare to fight in the U.S. Civil War (depicted in Glory, 1989)
This film got dragged for how slow paced and simplistic it is, but it honestly was perfect to me. It's one of the most unique and believable horror concepts I've ever seen and I thought it was executed to a T -- with the drawn-out nature of it just adding to the atmosphere. YMMV but I thought it was fantastic.
Experimental, a concept focused on the aesthetic and sound experience, terrifying and uncomfortable. It's the kind of immersive movie, with symbolism and interpretations, where nothing is shown in a normal way, the grainy images, the unusual angles provoke scares and tension. The sound of the film is spectacular and makes the experience of watching the movie unique, it feels like a nightmare. A very original masterpiece.

Vivarium (2019) - Simple, slow paced, and deeply deeply weird ( www.rottentomatoes.com )
