    A scene that shows either a blazing sunrise or sunset. The sun is low towards the horizon; above it hangs a much larger planet, like the moon if it was several sizes bigger than it actually is. In the foreground stands a tall building, like a tenement, rising up out of an uneven landscape. The building does not appear to be in a city. It only has one window: a glowing red window at the very top. This is a primarily red and yellow drawing, with the building in navy blue.

    DRAGON LAKE (1988)
    Acrylic on Watercolor Board - 30" x 20"

    "Some come easy, some come hard," said Norman Rockwell, when someone asked him how long it took for him to complete a painting. Like him, I'm somewhat of a perfectionist. 1/4

    On the shore of a lake, a red-headed woman in Romani-style garb approaches a dragon twice her height. Orange scaled, its sinuous neck curves as it lifts a beak shaped head. Gripping rock with hind legs and forelimb, its tail swishes water as wings flair back warily. A flame pattern ripples along the underside of the limb supporting its wing. More gold scales run under its chin down its belly and along the underside of its tail. The woman wears a purple silk cloth over her hair with pink cloak trailing. The sleeves of her azure blouse puff out until they meet form fitting leather gloves at the elbow. Her belt broadens in the back, accented with chains and jewels. Her silky pants are also baggy until they tuck into her fine leather boots at the calf. In the distance, other dragons can be seen bathing in the shallows. Lush evergreens give way to grassy hills and eventually angular mountains that thrust upward aglow in the sunlight.

    A tablet, with a ghostly face reflected in the black screen. The tablet appears to be off, but a green light at the top next to the camera indicates that it is recording something. Reflected on its screen is a blurry, pale face with no expression and empty eyes. They say that sometimes, the abyss looks back.     Witchy witch concepts 🌿

    The Red Witch. She wears a red and white varsity-like jacket with a furry collar, black leggings and a dark blue skirt, blue and yellow striped scarf, leg warmers, finger-less gloves and white shoes. She sports a big red and white witches hat with a red eye at the base, and a reddish brown bag with colourful patches, pins and potions affixed to it. A greenish teal energy emanates from her right hand as well as the long sword she carries on her back.
    The Blue Witch. She wears a long blue open coat with the sleeves rolled up, asymmetrical shoulder and arm armour, a brown and blue belt, black leggings and asymmetrical brown boots. She wears a big blue striped witches hat, a bright teal potion strapped to her belt. She wields a tennis racket and floating tennis balls that emanate a blue red energy.

    The Yellow Witch. She wears a big orange and yellow coat with a fur lined collar and blue gem at the middle. Green pin-striped pants, red boots with blue laces, a red belt and bag at her waist, as well as a green potion strapped to her hip. She sports a cylindrical orange and blue striped witches hat, with a skull and leaves at the base. She wields a red, blue and yellow striped wooden baseball bat with blue waves of energy emanating from it and her left hand.

    Aye-Aye - Endangered Species
    An illustration for the
    The Aye-Aye is a long-fingered lemur, native to Madagascar. They have rodent-like teeth that perpetually grow and a special thin middle finger that they use to catch grubs and larvae out of tree trunks. Their decline is due to poaching; deforestation and superstition that causes them to be killed on sight.
